Good waxing kit
I just used it once, but it was easy use and the warmer seems to work fine. The wax doesnât smell bad but you have to be careful when you apply it because sometimes itâs like a cheese pizza, you have to cut the wax strings to separate it from the stick. The warmer melts the wax in a few minutes if put on max temperature as explained in the instructions. Once melted I changed it to 150 degrees and it was a good temperature, warm enough to apply without burning. I could have used a little warmer but I guess the was would be less thick and messier to manage. I love that it has the silicone liner, however, it is not mentioned in the instructions and it doesnât explain how to use it. You either use the silicone liner or the aluminum basket. If you try to place the liner and the basket it doesnât fit. It was a hot day when I waxed, so I put a bit of baby powder on my skin before applying the wax to absorb any moisture. The kit comes with 3 sizes of sticks for face and body and the oil to remove the wax left on your skin cleans it well. Iâll update my review in a couple of months when I use it some more, but for starters it was a good experience.

TIPSI’ve never gotten a wax before, even at a professional place. I was able to get the hang of this pretty quickly and it did work on the spots I did it on. My tips as a total beginner â- Allow 25 minutes for heating then cooling back down to your set temperature- Set the temperature to slightly hotter than what you want, because it will cool so quickly once you put it on the stick. I.e. allow for slight cooling between when you take it out of the pot to when it reaches you.- Do one quick stroke of the wax in one direction â the direction your hair naturally goes (with the grain). No spreading back and forth, just one quick stroke- Peel up from the opposite way your hair naturally goes (against the grain)CONSI got this to use for my legs, and to me, that would not be realistically possible with this gear after trying.Now like I said, I’m a beginner, so maybe I’m missing something â but I gave up after an hour of working on legs and was probably only 10% done.I do not have thick hair, and it was the right length according to the instructions about hair length to start with.On a side note, it also irritated my skin to have a lot of red dots / redness, but take that with a grain of salt, because that might go down naturally in not too long. I literally just finished doing this 30 minutes ago.And again, I’m a beginner, but this was pretty messy for me. It’s easy enough to clean up if it falls on solid materials, but do NOT use near carpetSUMMARYIt works. It removes hair once you get the hang of it, pretty thoroughly. But unfortunately I’m going to be throwing it out entirely because I only got it for my legs, and I can’t spend 10 hours on that with these small applicators, with all the messiness and skin irritation that naturally comes from something like this.

Great melter
This is my second wax melting apparatus, I bought my first a couple years ago (a kolua wax model) and bought this one so I can wax both legs in one go instead of waiting for more wax to melt after waxing one leg and a portion of the second.First off, if you’re just considering giving hard wax a go, I highly recommend it. I reckon I’ve tried every method of hair removal out there, including lasers, and hard wax is the most effective, least painful of them all. I do recommend having someone else help with the backs of your knees & thighs but you can do most of it on your own as well.As for how this melter stacks up, I’m pleased with it. The silicon insert has a really wide lip on it, which I love, it keeps the wax mess on the machine to a minimum. I also love that it comes with a seperate metal insert in case you want to switch wax varieties. Keep in mind that just because the machine heats up in 10 minutes does not mean your wax will be ready in 10 minutes. I usually turn on my kalua melter 90 minutes before I want to start waxing and this one seems to perform the same.I can’t attest to how the wax included works yet, I have a jumbo bag of wax beads I buy that I’m still working through. The pre and post wax solutions are pretty standard, nice to have them included. The sticks I just toss on the compost heap or into the craft bin. . I find it much easier to just use a narrow silicon spatula, the kind made for scraping the bottom of jars. They give you better reach and because this is personal use I don’t have to consider any contamination issues.In short this is a good wax melter, if things go sideways I’ll update my review.

I havenât used the pre or after wax stuff yet. I bought this exclusively for my brows. I hated up to like 130 and it was very stringy but I tried it anyway and it did not work so well. It did remove a couple hairs but it just wanted hot enough. So I heated it up to 150 degrees for 10 more mins and then the string was better but still present. Not a big deal tho. And it removed all but one of my hairs. I think this needs to be a bit warmer. Maybe 155. Iâll try again next time with that temp. Iâll try to update this with my second wax to let you know my findings!

The wax is not good
The wax melt itself is perfectly fine no problems with it! but the wax beads are not good at all itâs too thin constantly keeps breaking⦠which makes it harder to wax as the little pieces hurt more than the big strips. it took me like 30 minutes to just do my bikini line which should have be 2 big strips. i couldnât do a brazilian with it constantly breaking. it also takes a while to harden i noticed. i would but the wax machine again but not with their brand wax beads
