It’s always concerning to be one of the first to purchase a new product, but you should not be concerned. The packaging is excellent. I can’t imagine how it could be damaged. I was pleasantly surprised with how the cord was totally out of the way. The instructions are straightforward. Took longer to decide where than to install. The reviewer who gave this product 2 stars because there was not a magnifying side is either mistaken, or received a defective product. Has the directions state you must get close to the mirror or it will make you dizzy. If you have an electric outlet close to where you want to install I don’t think you can do better than this mirror.

Definitely magnifies
Okay so be sure you are prepared to see your face very up close. I was not as prepared for it because I have other mirrors that have the 3x style magnifying side. I don’t typically use it because they just never worked well enough for me to want to use it. This mirror works so well that I could see flakes of dead skin on the bridge of my nose and above my eyebrows. Plus I could see so many hairs on my eyebrows that I was forced to try and tweeze them but I felt like I was doing it forever. I eventually used the normal side of the mirror and my face looked fine. Eyebrows looked so good you would have thought I did a close shave with my husbands razor. I went back to the magnifying side and boom dead skin and little eyebrow hairs again. I am warning you now that when you get this mirror. Get right up close to that magnifying side and be prepared to see things you don’t want to see. I ended up scrubbing my face super hard and learning that I do not “exfoliate” my face well enough. I now understand why people like to get those facial tools that scrub your face like sand paper on wood.Now aside from how well this mirror works. Mounting it was easy for my husband to do. I think he did it upside down though but it still works for me. I don’t dare ask him to fix it because he still didn’t understand why I made him mount it by my bed. I wanted it by my bed because I never stay in my bathroom in reality to do my makeup and self care anyways. I always stay in my bed so I figure I would mount it there especially since it presses up against the wall so snugly. It is nice being to just sit at the edge of my bed and just do my eyebrows or makeup. So much nicer than trying to balance a mirror or stand up in my bathroom. I don’t have a vanity area anymore so this works perfectly.

Excellent Magnifying Mirror With a Cord
I love the black mirror because it matches the tile in my bathroom and looks really sharp. I had a mirror almost identical to this but you needed to charge it and it stopped holding a charge after about 6 months. I was really happy that this mirror comes with a 4.5 foot long cord. I don’t have to remember to charge it and I feel this will extend the lifespan of this mirror. The description has an excellent video showing you how to install this with an electric drill. We put ours in the same spot as our previous mirror. This extends out really far and then folds back so it’s against the wall. You can flip it from a regular mirror to 10X magnification. Wow! You can see every pore on your face. You should keep your face at least 4 inches away from the magnified side so it doesn’t distort. There are three different light settings that you can change with the touch of a finger. I absolutely love this mirror. Everything feels and looks like it’s great quality and it’s been working great for over a month. Five stars!
