Works well
I purchased this lotion applicator along with extra applicator pads for my sister. She loves them. She has some physical limitations and this applicator works great for her lotion applications. She would recommend them highly.

Works well
I have had the pad fall off a couple times, which is icky as the pad with lotion, landing on the bathroom floor with hair and whatnot, well you get the idea. It does wash off easily. I am 6’2″ and which the handle were a couple inches longer, maybe 20″ vs. 17″, so I have to twist and turn quite a bit to get my entire back area. On the plus side, this is a massive improvement to the process of applying lotion to those hard to reach places. In a week of use, I no longer have itchy scratchy areas on my back, and I am thankful for that. I use Gold Bond Radiance Renewal lotion which is quite thick and heavy so it does not run off the pad when tilted. In short, so far so good.

Good applicator
I bought this to help with putting lotion on my back and so far it has done really well. Durability seems nice as long as you keep it clean and wash after each use. Easy to use.

Works well, but foam head keeps falling off
Works well, but foam head keeps falling off. Good applicator, but the foam applicator takes a while to get used to. Nothing gets absorbed into the foam head, which is what you want, I guess. But it seems to me that something a bit more porous may be better. But then, you’d have to spend time cleaning it to get the excess out, so I am on the fence about that.I’ve been using this since I bought it in 2014. My biggest beef is that the foam head just slips on, and there is nothing that attaches it securely to the stick, so it keeps falling off (for this reason, I re-visited this purchase to give my review, and to consider getting something else). Just yesterday, I applied some superglue to it, and I will wait to see how that works.otherwise, it works well as intended, as long I use it in front of a mirror to ensure I get all back areas. Great for when my GF is not around to do my back before sunbathing.

Best Lotion applicator I’ve found
I’m a big guy, so there is a lot of places I can’t reach with my hands. The Vive applicator makes it not only easy to reach most of my back but also to apply a fair amount of lotion and really rub it in. I use it on my lower legs as well. This is mostly so I can ensure that I am using a clean sterile tool instead of my hands.the only complaint I have is that the pads don’t always stay on the applicator. it would be a big improvement if there was a bump on the shaft that would help secure the pad to the applicator. It is very easy to clean and the replacement pads are cheap.

Easy to use
I love my lotion applicator. I have psoriasis all over and it is hard to get medicine on my back. Tired of struggling with this I bought the applicator. Now with the help of the applicator it is a breeze . Those hard to reach places are not so itchy.

Great idea but……
Good idea poor execution. The first couple of uses it was fine. Then after each use the hard sponge gets looser and looser from the base. So loose to the point that it always pops off of the stick while you are using it on your back and fall on the floor. Even if your floors are clean, the sponge which is full of product will pick up any and all particles on the floor. At this point you have to clean of the sponge, reapply product and try again. Usually you get a little product on your skin before the hard sponge pops off and hits the floor again. After a few times of hitting the floor and having to clean it again and again it just becomes too much of a hassle. This item would be better if it was cheaper because this is something that you really should just dispose of and buy a new one after it is used up. Also it would work better if the sponge was not detachable. I am not saying that it is completely useless. If you have someone who can use the applicator and apply it to your back for you then it is fine.Update: 11/10/2019 A few days ago i ended up using super glue to keep the sponge on the wooden stick. I put a little super glue on the tip of the stick and a little inside of the sponge. So far it is now holding up nicely and the sponge is no longer popping off.

This wonderful gizmo gets to that bit of your back where poor stiff arms just can’t reach.Oh joy! No more dislocated shoulders when trying to apply lotion. Happy soothed and moisturised back. This is a super, sturdy and easy to use gadget, and the spongey applicator doesn’t absorb the precious lotion so, none is wasted.Everything to like about it!
