A 16-ounce bottle of U.S. Art Supply Brush Cleaner and Restorer. A highly effective cleaning solution for restoring brushes with dried-on acrylic, oil, gouache, inks, and water-based paints.
This high-performance brush cleaner is also excellent for removing dried-on paint from airbrushes and all your artist tools and supplies.
Use this premium cleaner to keep all your art supplies clean, long-lasting, and ready for use. You will no longer be tossing out brushes with dried-on paint, as you can quickly restore them so you can reuse them repeatedly.
Directions for Use: Soak brushes as necessary and remove softened residue with a wipe, knife, or toothbrush. Cleans paint off brushes within minutes to hours for dried acrylic, oil, and water-based paint. For brushes loaded with fully dried acrylic and oil paint, soak for up to 24 hours. After cleaning brushes, wash them with mild soap and water. Reshape bristles so the brushes are ready for use.
For airbrush cleaning use, fill airbrush cup with cleaner and spray cleaner between color changes and immediately after each use. For dried paint in the airbrush, soak affected airbrush parts in cleaner overnight if necessary. Do not soak the whole airbrush in cleaner.

Customers say

Customers appreciate the cleaning agent’s ease of use. However, some dislike the bristles. There are differing opinions on functionality, brush cleaning, smell, value for money, and bristle softness.

    Works great
I am totally amazed how wellIt works. Cleaned brushes I haven’t used in a long time. I stick them in the bottle leave them for a little while and they are like new.

    Excellent product
This cleaner and restorer is excellent. So glad this was purchased to clean brushes that can start to get stiff during long periods of painting. I haven’t tried in oil based paint yet but with acrylic it’s the best.

    It works somewhat
It softens up the paint so yu can sc rape it off but it takes a long time and some of the bristles on my brush came off too, plus it didn’t get all the paint off.

Effective will clean old dried acrylic paint
I used this on my stash of acrylic paintbrushes I had given up on (but not thrown away) with stuff dried on for over a year, and now have all these nice brushes to use again! I needed to soak them for 24 hours, wash them then soak them again and now I can use one of my favorite brushes again!

Not what I was hoping for
I did not find this product particularly effective. I soaked a fair number of my oil painting brushes in the cleaner overnight–it ended up being a little more than 24 hours. I didn’t feel as though the cleaner did much more than I would’ve got from a thorough rinse in turpentine or odorless mineral spirits. It did not completely wash out of the brushes, and left a tacky residue. I think I’ll go back to Turpenoid Natural.

    Works like a charm!
Was able to clean dried acrylic paint off of a paint brush with ease. Used in conjunction with a steel brush cleaner and took minimal effort
