My boyfriend thought I had on false lashes
I LOVE this mascara and the brush gets every lash. I do not curl my lashes and this just does it. Hold your wand up and down (vertically) to build a longer lash!

My favorite mascara ever!!!
My friend suggested this product years ago and gave me one of hers that was unused to try for myself. I have always worn contacts up until two years ago and have very sensitive eyes. I always struggled finding a mascara in which I loved would not flake off and is durable but easy to wash off. This product is by far the best mascara I have ever used and plan on using this product for as long as possible.

Best mascara ever!
Ahhh I have finally found the mascara I’ve been looking for!! I feel like I’ve tried a million over the last couple years and had come to the conclusion that, no matter what you spend, they’re all alike. I always thought I had pretty nice eyelashes, but I feel like my mascara always makes them look clumpy and blah. I had never heard of theBalm before when I came across it on Amazon, but I was struck by all the reviews from people who got it in their Ipsy box and ended up purchasing it. I figured it couldn’t hurt to try; it’s more expensive than a mascara you’d get in the drug store, but still relatively low cost compared to what you could spend.After using it for a few days, I am in love! I think it must have something to do with the thin curved wand, but this mascara goes on so easily and actually lengthens my eyelashes and thickens them without making them clumpy. Seriously, every time I look in the mirror, I’m so happy because my eyelashes finally look how I want them to look. It comes off easily with my makeup remover and when I wake up in the morning, I don’t have to use more makeup remover, like I have with mascaras in the past. I also love that the mascara is cruelty-free. So happy I discovered this!

Everything I could ask for…
Like many others, I found this in my ipsy bag and fell in looove with it ever since! Previously, I have been switching between Too Faced’s Better than Sex, Benefit’s Rollerlash, and Maybelline’s Lash Sensational mascara. For 2 years, I was committed to Maybelline’s Lash sensational but there’s something about the wand and the formula of Mad Lash that makes my lashes plump right up. I have short, straight, lashes and Mad Lash combined with my Diorshow maximizer plumper makes my lashes look long, thick, feathery and (sometimes fake). The formula itself is wet, but never clumpy. The bristles of the brush get every one of my lashes coated and the rounded end of the brush is perfect for applying the mascara vertically or getting the hard-to-reach corners in order to really make my lashes pop. The shape of the brush is perfect for holding it at the base of your lashes and then sweeping it u. The formula isn’t waterproof, however, it does have quite the staying power and does not smudge on me. My lashes hold a curl for over 10+ hours from work to yoga. On days when I want to wear minimal make-up, this does the trick by making my eyes look more awake. At under $18, this is a ridiculous steal. I highly recommend! PS: they’re cruelty-free!

Gummy, impossible to remove cleanly without rubbing a lot
I wanted to love this. It goes on fairly thick, but if you’re very careful you can layer without clumping. And it does lengthen the lashes, and the color is nice and sharp. But it flakes more than I’d like. And – worst of all – it does NOT come off easily. I feel like I have to rub like crazy, which is not great for my already sparse lashes nor for my thin eyelid skin. Skip this one.

The best
Been using this and only this mascara for many years now. Fell in love after I got a sample in my Ipsy bag. Have tried others here and there but nothing compares. I like the gel like consistency of the formula and the solid black color. Does not clump and the wand does a great job separating and lengthening. Stays put all day, no smudging or raccoon eyes by evening, and washes off easily. Factor in the price point for a two pack, and itâs the GOAT.

Thick and Clumpy
I usually like The Balm’s products, they have some good eyeshadows but I hated this mascara more than I ever thought I could hate a mascara. The product was so thick on the wand, it was gooped all over the bristles and applies extremely clumpy. You have to wipe most of the product off the wand before applying. It didn’t extend the length of my lashes at all, it actually made them look shorter because of the clumpy formula weighing down my lashes. I threw away both tubes!

Best mascara ever to wear over a base mascara. This curls and lengthens my lashes so much when worn over my regular mascara! I recently found it at pharmaprix for half the price though so buying it there now.
