Explore hydraulics, pneumatics, and robotics with your very own GIANT hydraulic hand! Using over 200 plastic pieces and piston tubes that you fill with water, build an awesome mechanical hand that uses hydraulic power to simulate the movements of the human hand no motors or electricity required! Once assembled, your cyborg hand slips onto your own hand like a glove, with mechanical fingers that you operate with your own fingers and that can grip objects with enough force to lift them. Challenge yourself to pick up and hold a variety of items like bottles, pencils, small items anything with reach! The hand can be configured in three ways left hand, right hand, and claw-like, with the thumb in the center and can be adjusted to fit virtually all hand sizes. A 40-page, full-color manual guides model building and experimentation and provides engaging scientific information about how pneumatic and hydraulic systems are used in industrial robots to assist with a variety of tasks in our modern world.
Build your own awesome, wearable mechanical hand that you operate with your own fingers.
No motors, no batteries — just the power of air pressure, water, and your own hands!
Hydraulic pistons enable the mechanical fingers to open and close and grip objects with enough force to lift them. Every finger joint can be adjusted to different angles for precision movement.
Three configurations: right hand, left hand, and claw-like; adjustable to fit virtually any human hand.

Perfect STEM Gift: Fun and Educational Mega Cyborg Hand Kit!
I bought the Thames & Kosmos Mega Cyborg Hand STEM Experiment Kit as a Christmas gift for my 9-year-old son, and it was a huge hit! From the moment he opened it, he was excited to dive into the building process. The instructions were clear and easy for him to follow, and he managed to assemble it mostly on his own, with just a little guidance. Watching him figure out how each piece fit together and seeing his pride in completing it was priceless. The kit provides a fantastic hands-on learning experience, teaching mechanical concepts and the basics of hydraulics in a fun and engaging way.Once assembled, the cyborg hand is incredibly cool. It fits comfortably, works smoothly, and my son has been having a blast testing its capabilities, like picking up objects or pretending he’s a robot. The fact that it’s adjustable for different hand sizes means he’ll be able to use it for a long time. This STEM kit is not only entertaining but also educational, sparking curiosity about engineering and science. I highly recommend it for any kid who loves to build, tinker, and explore how things work. It’s a gift that keeps on giving!

    Very cool
Great for gifting, there are some steps that may require an adult. The pieces need to be cut out and burs removed from edges and that requires sharp scissors or a blade depending on age that may require assistance. The hydronic components also require lubrication and precision cutting of tube. Overall it’s not very difficult and it’s fun and silly as a toy that you can have fun with for awhile. The instructions include stories that are fun for kids too. Definitely recommend

Not an easy build but the kids loved it
I bought this for two families for Christmas. It is definitely not an easy build, it takes parent help and time. However, it is pretty cool once finished. Both the 6 year old and the 10 year old loved it.

    Awesome toy
Lots of fun to put together. My son enjoyed the experiments that came with it. Not much play with it after it’s put together, but it was a fun entertaining stem project to make and learn about hydrologics.

    The expression says it all.
My son is 6 1/2, and was able to build 85% of this on his own or with very minimal help. We had the special clippers that made snipping out the pieces super easy without having to file down the burs. Her said it was the best present ever. Was great for spending time together and a great learning experience for him. This was all I was hoping it would be and more ☺️

    Wonderful project
The instructions were easy to follow, very clear and direct. It was an exciting challenge for my 10-year-old, and also intriguing to my five-year-old and 13-year-olds. The hand has proven to be simple to fix when used with too much force. Its been a great activity for my kids encouraging their creativity & expanding their desire for STEM learning.

    Things not included
Cool product, I would definitely say needs an adult to help build. Box did not come with mini screw driver, so trying to find the right size to work was a bit difficult. Instructions didn’t inform you on what you needed for size. Got half of it built and then when we got to the hydronic part, the instructions did not state what type of pil to use and did not provide it as well. Other than that once we can figure out how to build the rest then this would be a cool hand.

While the parts in the box is all complete, the box is dented and the seal is broken. Meant to be a gift for a little boy. Lesson learnt to buy toys from physical stores in the future
