The best wand
I have been loyal to a wand for 8 years and it just recently quit working. I went out on a limb and bought this one for $20 because it had such good reviews. They were not wrong. This wand is great. My hair doesnât usually hold curl easily but these held over night even. My hair is probably 24 inches long and this barrel was the perfect length. The heat is adjustable and itâs so easy to use. The value of this product is great for the money it costs.

Gets really hot!
This was a really great buy! Itâs, a nice color, curls stay for a long time, which is great because my hair barely holds curls. It was also a great price. I was robbed and all my stuff was stolen. There was only furniture left and I think if they could have lifted it all, it would have been all gone! So finding something to do my hair for work, that wasnât pricey was really important and so I was very happy with my purchase!

Great for some techniques, not so much for others.
I ordered this item as I have four curling-iron-using girls with very straight hair (counting my spouse) in my household. This clamp-free curling iron has a wider-than-average ceramic barrel, heats up to operating temperature more quickly than most all others, and is useful for travel at voltages between 110v-240v. The cord has a swivel function to eliminate those “tangled up” moments as well.Our experiences with this curling iron were as follows: lower temps were useful for adding a wave to the hair, but no curls, bringing up the temps did add to the curl factor. The included glove does a great job of protecting you from burning your hand (they inadvertently tested this!) None of the four testers were able to get a large, firm curl without the use of some products that they didn’t specifically name for me for the review. Their favorite effect was that they obtained sweeping “beach-look” curls with this iron.If unfamiliar with wide-barrel curling irons, take time to learn the differences. Start with a lower heat setting and slowly increase the temperature until the desired results are reached, but avoid temps that can permanently damage your hair. Oh, and wear the glove. Seriously.

Exceeded expectations!
I was not expecting much since this thing was less than $20, but I needed a new curling wand that was bigger than my 1 inch one, and this one could get to me the fastest. And I am sooo glad I got it! I canât day enough good things about this! My hair is long and thick, and I can curl my whole head in under 10 min. I wanted curls that were more loose and beachy and thought I needed a 1.5 inch wand. Nope, this 1 1/4 inch barrel is perfect! This wand heats up quickly, stays hot the whole time, and the button locks once you choose a temp so it doesnât turn off if you accidentally hit the button!! I love the little screen that tells me the temperature, when itâs completed heating, and when itâs off. Itâs just awesome and I love it and you should buy it now.

Did not meet expectations
You know how some cheap products are wonderful and worth more than their cheap price tag? This curling wand isnât one of those. It was a waste of my money. Itâs bulky, heavy respective to what it is and the power button is in an inconvenient location relative to where you hold it to curl your hair. Further, your hair (strands) get caught in the end cap and rip out of your scalp when you unwind the wand. Not worth it.

Not having the clip to work around while youâre curling your hair is a PLUS! Itâs so easy to twist your hair around the wand without trying to keep your hair clamped at one end, especially when you have short hair! At under $20 itâs such a great find!!

I use this tool daily to give my hair soft curls for work! It heats up fast, and can be used to create waves, soft curls, or tight curls! I have extremely long hair and it works very well. The other tapered wands gave me weird curls that got too small at the end of my long hair. This straight barrel gives me great soft curls and I get complimented on my hair all the time!
