5 stars for the product, 1 for the bottleI love the Tea Tree Special Shampoo and Conditioner and have been using them both for well over a decade. They control my dandruff very well, and I love the scent and tingling sensation. My hair also feels very soft after using the conditioner, which says something given that I have very thick and coarse hair. 10/10 recommend the shampoo and conditioner as a product.However, these aluminum bottles are another story entirely. I purchased these bottles specifically to be more eco-conscious and be able to order the refill bags now offered. While my photos of the first delivery of these bottles mysteriously deleted themselves into oblivion, the dents were exponentially worse than the one captured in the photo above. I seriously thought someone had taken a hammer to them. Thinking that it was an issue with my local warehouse/delivery drivers since I’ve recently had issues with receiving damaged products, I decided to get a refund on the first bottles and ordered a second set. While not as severe, these bottles also arrived dented. I’m sure it has to do with them using incredibly thin aluminum for these bottles, and they simply don’t hold up to being shipped and handled.While I’m incredibly disappointed in the quality of the bottles, I plan to keep them simply because I don’t want to be constantly shelling out for the huge plastic bottles. The aluminum bottle is great in theory, but poor in execution. If you purchase them, just know what you’re getting in to.I’ll also mention that I tried looking for these bottles at all my local stores and I have been unable to find them, so getting them through a source other than Amazon or Paul Mitchell directly are the only options. I’ve decided to try ordering from Paul Mitchell to see if the experience is better and will report back once I’ve received the product.
