I bought this with Bond Repair Shampoo and the Leave-in Conditioner for Dry Hair Sugarcane Extract and Meadowfoam Seed. I have been using all three for 10 days. I have very brittle, thin, dry hair and terrible split ends. I’ve been searching my whole life for a product that could tackle the severity of these issues. All advertisements say they fix your hair. None of them has ever worked for me: Until this. This shampoo, conditioner, and leave-in conditioner actually do what it says they do. My hair is a good 60% smoother. My split ends are healing. My hair is stronger and softer. It took 52 years, but I finally found the brand I’ve been looking for. It is absolutely worth buying all three products (and I cannot believe how inexpensive they are. Really. They are worth every cent and more).

Made my coarse type 4 hair dry and tangled
This is the first time a conditioner has made my hair dry and tangled. I was already skeptical of the product after seeing Behentrimonium Chloride in the ingredient list as this ingredient typically does not work for textured hair in my experience, but seeing as it’s a shea moisture product, I decided to try it anyway.This product made my hair drier than my shampoo did and very hard to detangle — I ultimately gave up and added a good bit of glycerin to make it at least manageable. This product just sat on my strands and added no slip. I basically had to rip through my hair with this product. I have sections of my hair which are 3c and fine as well as more coarse sections that are 4a-4c and no part of my hair responded well to this product.0 out of 10 stars, I would not recommend this product to anyone with curly hair, especially not type 4 hair. I don’t know if the masque would be any better, but if you’re looking for a shea moisture conditioner, I would skip this and go for either the Jamaican black castor oil one or the honey Manuka.
