Great for beginners and extremely soft!
I received this earlier today and at first glance the packaging was very nice. It came in a nice purple box inside was the faux leather case tucked neatly inside. As everyone else has stated the case does have a plastic/gasoline type of smell but its really not that bad as people are making it out to be. Each brush was individually wrapped and protected. However the large fan brush is in the crease of the bag causing the hairs to bend but its nothing too drastic. I immediately washed each individual brush which was very easy and there was very little shedding. Some wrote that there was a lot of dirt and what not in the brushes but that wasn’t the case in my opinion. After I washed them I set them out to dry and just happened to check on them about 2 hours later and they were pretty much dried which was nice because my previous brushes took the whole night. This is my first actual brush set. Over the years I’ve collected many different brands (e.l.f., ulta, bare minerals, japonesque, etc.) that I thought were soft at the time but I guess I never knew what soft was until I touched these brushes. I’m not a beginner to makeup but I am a beginner to using the right brushes in the right way. I looked for a couple months for a large brush set and read countless reviews and weighed the pros and cons before buying this product. I debated buying this or coastal scents 32 pc., or one that was 36 pc. but i forgot what the companys name was. I am very glad I purchased this. I think that even though this had only 24 pc. compared to 36 its much higher quality. While researching some MUA’s compared them to MAC brushes which really helped my decision and it paid off. I like how some have different color tips its just more attractive looking. I also love that on each brush the number and type of brush is printed which seemed to be rare in brush sets of this quantity. The black handles make them look very expensive, feel good in your hand, and they seem very durable. I’ve used a few so far and they’re uhh-maze-zing! I also like that it comes with a pamphlet that shows each number and explains what each brush does which was very helpful. Shany is also a cruelty free company. The only brush I might not use as much is the eyeliner brush. I have one from real techniques and its very thin and straight which I’m used to while Shany’s brush is a little wider and fluffier but then again I haven’t used it so maybe once I get some gel on it it’ll be thinner. I highly recommend this product. Amazon’s price is better than on the Shany website but it seems to be out of stock more often. I just happened to see that they were getting it in stock and it shipped earlier than quoted which was nice. Strong smells and a bulky roll don’t detract from the usability.
So I love these. I bought them on the Black Friday Week deals for what I would consider to be a decent price.Each brush has it’s use marked on the handle and in the guide that accompanies it. And all brushes are in a leather-like case and most with bristle covers. The box they arrived in is incredibly good quality. I kept it to cover and use for Christmas gifts! Its very sturdy and well made which speaks to the quality for the product.My one complaint so far is the incredibly strong smell when you open the box. I believe maybe it is the leather case but it smells of a strong plastic chemical odor. My husband says it is from the finish. That they didn’t allow the materials to cure before they packaged them together and that the smell would go away if it was set out to air for a day or so. He was right, sort of. The majority of the smell went away in a day leaving only a lingering of it if you held the brush roll close to your nose.My coloring has never looked so good. Yes, I am guilty of using junk brushes way longer than I should have. The mineral makeup I use looks great but can be hard to blend without quality tools. These brushes are a great compliment to the quality mineral makeup I use. The brushes are incredibly soft. They work well for each of their intended uses. I don’t always use them for their labeled use but they serve me well.There are SO many brushes, and they span from liquid to mineral makeups. I currently wear no liquid makeup making those brushes more or less obsolete, at least until I get into wearing those again which I will do more in the summer. It just seemed important to note that you might not have a use for each brush. Take the time to look at each one and make sure you aren’t buying a kit that is beyond your needs.Because there are so many brushes they take up a lot of space. the roll with all of the brushes in it is very bulky. I appreciate that they gave up a case for them but I have taken them out of the roll and placed the brushes in my vanity drawer. there they can lay flat, and take up much less space. The large fan brush gets a little crushed in the roll, so I would suggest to anyone not traveling with their brushes often that you consider taking them out of the roll for storage. And if you do travel I suggest a different carrier. If not for the entire set at the very least for the fan brush.Once again the smell, the bulky roll, and brushes I don’t have a use for yet are but small potatoes compared to how wonderful my makeup goes on now. I find myself using less product and it goes on faster. Overall, a great set!

I just recieved my Shany Signature Brush Set in the mail today, on time with quick fast shipping. I am pleased to see all my brushes are in perfect condition in the case all wrapped neatly and hygenically. After inspecting all brushes they are super soft and well molded on the handles. This was a great price for the amount of brushes I received considering you can goto Mac or Sephora and spend 40-50$ on ONE brush and I got 24 pieces. I will continue to use and buy this brand as long as it holds up to my expectations of being long lasting and good quality!

These really are exceptional quality for the price. The brushes are among the best I’ve ever owned, from either a drugstore or luxury brand. Very soft, minimal shedding (if any, I haven’t noticed any other than the first time I washed them). The brush pouch has a weird plasticy smell but I wasn’t planning on storing them in there (much easier/more hygienic just to use some pen cups) so I tucked that into the top of my closet in case I ever need to travel with them. The fan brush was slightly smushed when I got it but other than that they arrived perfectlyThey definitely are a fantastic buy and I will be repurchasing as gifts.
