When I received this item, the box was only 1/2 in thick so I thought the wrong product was delivered. The sponges are flattened and expand upon moisture being added, however, when expanded, the sponge is about 1/4 inch smaller than the typical small sponges. I have small hands and the sponges seem too small. This is some new technology, but I’m not totally happy with it.

These are hard to find and great for cleaning stainless steel pots and pans that you care about since they DO NOT have abrasive surfaces on one side and ON ALL OF THE EDGES of normal kitchen sponges. These abrasive surfaces ruin good stainless pots and pans as well as stainless utensils unless you are VERY CAREFUL. With these sponges, you just clean without worrying. If you don’t burn your food, these are all you need to take care of your expensive cookware. Also, at these prices, if you worry about germs on the sponge, you can dispose used sponges frequently and always keep a fresh one handy. I recommend this product and this company. Buy in bulk and use Amazon – the game changer in retailing (I don’t know how I would get classical music CDs and good books without them since old-fashioned bookstores stopped carrying them even before Amazon became a factor in retailing. Now the old-fashioned stores just carry best-sellers, mass market books and pop music.
