Worth every penny and more
I did so much research on finding a dye because I been diagnosed with Alopecia areata more than a year ago. It was a year plus with no coloring and my hair color was now salt-and-pepper. I was skeptic, but I am glad I bought it. The color lasted long, and it fitted nicely with my braid style. When applied it stayed on my hair for 40 minutes before washing it out with other brands 15 minutes is too long. I do recommend it.

Very long lasting color without going brassy
I switched to this from being a longtime Nutrisse user to color my hair. Wow! what a difference. The color just seems to last and last (I can go 8 weeks at least), before I have to recolor and/or touch up. This also isn’t harsh on my hair (like some of the Clairol products). This is now my new go to for hair color!

Cool brown is very natural looking:)
Used cool brown and after just 15 minutes it turned all of my hair very dark however after a few washes it left my hair a very natural brown. Also, my hair is healthier than before I colored it so I will definitely continue to use this brand and color. I would just recommend keeping an eye on your color incase your hair grabs color like mine. Very pleased with the natural color and the fact it is so gentle on my scalp and hair.

Gray coverage
I have nearly 100% white hair, maybe 95%. So this review is for people like me.
I used hazelnut brown.
Considering the fact that this color is ammonia free I feel like the coverage was very good, but it was not as good as a standard 100% gray coverage box color.
I will use it again but I will go up to chocolate Cherry because hazelnut brown looks really washed out on my very white roots. I would def advise going up a shade if your hair is really, really light, and leave it on longer.
I really, really want to continue to use this brand because it is super easy on my scalp and my hair feels really good after using it. Itâs a great product.
I have not washed my hair yet. So I am not sure about fading yet.
Iâm sure that if you have only some white hair rather than totally white hair that this would cover it, but def leave it on for 30 min.

Im allergic to PPD and i have used other products for men hair without ppd and my hair wouldnât be the color i used
So i said let me try this product that women used and after 25 minutes this product was totally worth every penny for a man

Does not cover stubborn grays
I used this product to dye my hair back to close to my natural color, as I have decided to grow out my grays. I had some old red color I wanted to cover up, and this made my hair a pretty dark chocolate shade (my natural is almost black with about 25% gray). I normally use Revlon Colorsilk.
The color didn’t drip much and had a creamy consistency. It did make my scalp burn a little despite the box saying it was a gentle formula. Also, it did nothing to cover my stubborn grays. After one shampoo, even more gray is showing through. This doesn’t bother me as I’m going to stop coloring, but if I wasn’t going to do that, I’d go back to Colorsilk. Also, there was plenty of conditioner, but it didn’t do much for my dry, damaged ends. I had to use my own conditioner to supplement.
Overall, if you’re not looking for great gray coverage, this is a decent dye. However, if your gray is stubborn, I’d recommend trying something different.

No Allergic Reaction
I have a very bad allergic reaction to all permanent hair dyes I have ever used except this one. I started greying in my early 20’s, and I was going to go all grey because I was tired of the scalp and skin irritation and swelling every time I try to color my greys. I even had to go the ER a couple of times. But thankfully I finally found Schwarzkopf Simply Color.. I really hope they continue making this product as it is the only permanent dye I can safely use without any allergic reaction. I hope this comment helps people with allergic reactions like mine.

Finally found the right dye!
I have been coloring my hair for years. I am natural medium brown. I have very white hair. If I did not dye my hair, I have gone to the beauty parlor for years. I have had trouble with all Dyes burning itching, flares up my itchy scalp terrible. I read reviews and took a chance on this dye and I highly highly recommend it. I am so happy. I finally finally found the right dye and it is well over half the price, I am looking for a touch up if anyone knows of one with this company. Not one itch after use! Yayy!

I have had terrible reactions to hair dyes. One product sent me to the hospital with high dose of prednisone. THIS IS THE ONLY DYE THAT I HAVE ABSOLUTELY NOT REACTION TOO. I have used everything from vegan dyes (no reactions) but color doesn’t last…..this is the only dye I will use….PLEASE DONT STOP SELLING IT LOL

My husband has tried several products, most of which gave him unbearable itching or took hours to apply and then washed out in a hurry. This works well for him. Gives good colour, easy to apply, giving a 20 min wait after applying, and lasts pretty well. No allergic reaction, which is a great relief (pun intended).

I colour my hair often and this was the first time using this product. I appreciated everything about it, wasnât too runny, smell was ok and covered well, but I emptied the container into a proper colour bowl with a brush and applied that way. I left on 30 minutes but donât find it covered my grey enough especially at the hairline, when I was careful getting it all incorporated. It came off my skin well, and washed well after 3 washes, but I wasnât satisfied with the coverage, and the overall colour was lighter than I expected. Itâs not the worst match, but after seeing the photos I was expecting darker. I would still re-order and go a shade darker in the future, otherwise totally happy with the product!
