Impressed!
There was definitely a substantial learning curve within the first couple of uses – even as a self waxed of 8 years. I was super impressed with the waxes ability to pick up fine leg hairs! The kit itself is very nice and includes a lot of nice waxing basics (like pre and post cleansers). Post cleanser is definitely required as the wax leaves a sticky coating. All in all, I would recommend going the hard wax route, but this would be great for travel and how I intend to use it!

Cute Kit but just as sticky and time consuming
I was pretty excited to get this and to use for times I don’t want to go through the wax beads process thinking it would be easier. It seemed to be almost as messy just a tad less getting sticky. I went through the instructions and they are basic and you use common sense and guesstimates so if you aren’t able to do both then you may make some mistakes. You have to heat the unit and it takes little bit so you have to wait a little while similarly to while waiting until wax melts in a melt machine. You roll the machine with the wax directly on your skin or you can roll it on the wax strip. The better option is directly on the skin though. The issue is that it doesn’t roll too easily. The wax is sticky obviously so it makes the roll stick. Then if you don’t manage to get all the wax with the strip then you are left being sticky. There is an after wax treatment that helped to removed the stickiness but it’s a smaller sized bottle. There are two wax cartridges provided which is good but I’m not sure how long each wax cartridge lasts. Either way it was a lot more work to do for waxing when it is so much easier just using wax beads. The wax didn’t come out quick enough for me to decide that I would switch to using this method.*Disclaimer* Although I received this product as an Amazon Vine customer, this has not affected the integrity of my reviews. Not my favorite but it works
So idk why but hard wax never works very well on my leg hairs, it’s my favorite for anything more coarse or that requires a bit of precision, like underarms, bikini area, or eyebrows. But it doesn’t work on my legs, so I like to use regular wax instead for them. This kit does that job and though it’s a bit messier and harder to keep clean, I’m happy with it for what it is since it does a better job on my legs than hard wax does. It takes quite a while to heat up the wax enough to spread it on the skin and even then, it can snag the hairs a bit during application which hurts a little bit, but it helps to plug it in and have it heating up for a while. Sometimes I plug it in when I clock in for work in my home office, and it’s ready by lunch time. So to recap: messier than hard wax, takes longer, but does a better job on finer/thinner hairs than hard wax does.

Learning curve and videos help
This is one of those products that if you read only what the manufacturer offers, you may not have great results or be very satisfied. Instead, checking online for videos and reading other people’s experiences will make a huge difference in the first try.One thing that doesn’t really belong in my use directions, when inserting the wax cartridge, there is a lid on the cartridge, it has to come off for the lid of the heating unit to go back on.1. These devices take time to heat. Some say 30 minutes, some say an hour ( 20 minutes is not long enough for the was to be smooth and dispense well ) …I chose about 35 minutes based on my schedule.2. Baby powder helps somehow. Use baby powder on the hair you are getting ready to wax.3. The wax warmer is not full to running over so it needs to be tipped to an application position for 60 seconds before trying to apply…even then applying to a tear away sheet to be sure it is running smoothly before starting makes it much easier.4. On legs the hairs grow towards the ground…wax towards the ground then pull upwards when removing.5. Baby oil is the after wax product. Using way more than just a spritz makes it much more comfortable. I just used my big bottle and slathered the baby oil all over my legs and this helped with the stickiness, cooling and healing.6. Don’t do this when you are in a hurry or when you have big plans the next day or two. New things need to be tried when we have time to slow down and concentrate. Also everyone reacts differently to waxes, heat not to mention the products in them.I was pleased with the results I had using this Waxfans Wax Roller Kit. It is not perfect and not super fast. Neither is my honey or my wax beads, for comparison. My rating is 4 Stars.
