Used this for a while and I would definately recommend for dry scalp. I love having a before shampoo and after shampoo hair mask too! The product also lathers well so it lasted me way longer than expected.

So I love this product so much! It has made such a difference in my hair care journey. In order to explain I have delve into some details, so join me in hair care story!I have scalp Psoriasis and have had it since my teens. Over the years I have had to use various products such as tea tree shampoo, Selsun Blue – Medicated, even prescription shampoos. However, the best result I had was medication and Ovation Shampoo and Cell Therapy. I have used the hair product Ovation for many many years, with absolute success. My hair has been healthy and strong for over 15 years.Then one day it stopped working. I started having flares and it was bad. No shampoos or hair treatments worked. I just lived with an itchy, peeling, gross scalp.About a year later my sister happened to be shopping somewhere and saw this product and purchased the Raw Sugar Scalp Scrub & Hair Masque for me for Christmas. I was dubious as I had just started using a Tea Tree and Rosemary shampoo and it was semi working, I wasn’t AS itchy. but I was still peeling and gross, I had also just started using a scalp brush. But I was hopeful it would just take some time.So, I decided to use this Scalp Scrub & Hair Masque after I shampooed my hair with my other new product and I felt like I was cured with one shampoo. It was amazing. My scalp didn’t itch, it didn’t peel, it wasn’t gross! I could finally style my hair in something more than a pony tail and not be embarrassed! So I started using it regularly. Every hair wash I used it, my scalp was no longer even red and blotchy. I was so happy!!THEN I went to buy my refill bottle and found this set. I was unsure about changing up my recipe of shampoo Scalp Scrub & Hair Masque and conditioner I was using. Because why change what works? But I thought, what if my hair would look amazing too? I hadn’t had a haircut in over a year and was just looking a bit dull.So I purchased it. This is why I am making a point to post my journey and why I didn’t give 5 stars.The shampoo? No good. My scalp was itching even before I finished washing it out. But I still kept trying. I used my Scalp Scrub & Hair Masque, then used the conditioner. And wouldn’t you know it? My straight hair looked like I had a blowout! It was straight (as usual, no surprise there) it wasn’t frizzy, it wasn’t dull. It was gorgeous, it was lush, it had volume, from root to tip. I had nice hair again!At this point I’m hopeful but unsure what to do, I had itching scalp but beautiful hair. What do I do?In the end I had to stop using the shampoo and went back to my other brand (Renpure Plant Based Tea Tree and Rosemary Refresh and Rebalance Shampoo for those interested).So my hair routine became this, shampoo with my other brand, scrub that in with my scalp brush and let sit for about 1-2 min, just before rinsing out put one more pump on my scalp, for good measure.Then put my Raw Sugar Scalp Scrub & Hair Masque on my roots to about 3 inches down, massaging in really well, getting every inch of my scalp.Whatever is left of the Masque on my hands I don’t rinse off I then wring all water out of my hair and put the Raw Sugar Conditioner on. Leaving just the conditioner on for 3 min.I rinse the conditioner off first, just sticking the tips of my hair into the water since I don’t put conditioner on my roots or where the masque is.By then the Scalp Scrub & Hair Masque should have been on a minimum of 5 min, max of 10. I totally rinse it off and finish up my shower.I DO NOT use my towel to dry my hair, I wring out as much water while hanging my head upside down. I put it in my hair turban, not putting any friction in, just wringing it. Leaving it in for a couple minutes to sop up some water.Then I take the turban down and I brush my hair and put it back up, this time I put it up in an old t-shirt. One I love but won’t wear anymore, its soft and 100% cotton, careful not to create any friction. I wear that for 10-30 min depending on my plans. The I let my hair down and usually let it air dry.I now no longer have itchy scalp, red splotches or zit like bumps, or dandriff or dry flakey scalp. I can go about 3-4 days before I have to leave my hair in a pony (with some dry shampoo) a few more days then it gets itchy and I have to wash it. Usually 6-7 days before I have to wash it again. At the beginning of this journey I would want to wash my hair as soon as it dried, sometimes immediately after I washed it, just so I could itch it!I love this product! It has changed my life. My hair care routine. My scalp care routine. My confidence is boosted. Its a fantastic product that I recommend to anyone I know who has dull hair.I only wish I could buy each product individually on Amazon. This was the only way I could purchase what I needed. As it stands I cannot use the Shampoo at all. But I can use the other items. What is recommended after knowing my whole story? Purchase then don’t use? Not a fan of that. Wonderful scalp treatment!
I suffer from a lot of itchy, oily buildup on my scalp, even if I wash my hair daily. This scalp spa treatment is amazing! It cleans thoroughly and moisturizes SO well! I love the scalp and hair masque best! The smell is mild and pleasant. I definitely recommend these products to anyone who has an oily scalp.

A noteable warning – test for reaction first!
Please read fully to understand why this is two stars. First, I purchased this product for the scalp scrub (the green bottle). I found it at the store and I really like what it does. The scalp scrub is why I purchased this set. I decided to try the rest of the “routine” as well to see how it goes.I do regret not testing this product for any reaction to it before using it. I’d recommend to do this, even if you’ve tried hundreds of other shampoo products without reactions. You can look up online how to do this. Here’s why: my palms feel like they are on fire and are extremely sensitive to touch after using just the shampoo (after the scrub, which is fine) after following the directions. Luckily, my scalp had limited reactions.Having used almost every product on the shelf not containing smells I cannot stand (literally hundreds) in my quest to find one that works for my hair for the past couple of decades, I simply did not think I would have a reaction to this. I have one known slight allergy to most bar soaps that make me slightly more itchy. I hadn’t had a negative reaction to any product for more than 25 years until the shampoo (I won’t be trying the rest of the set).The scrub (green bottle) I knew was fine since I had used it before. I used the shampoo and while washing my scalp, started feeling a burning sensation. This is odd considering this doesn’t happen usually and the water was cool per the directions. I pulled my hands away to see white spots starting to form on the palms of my hands. Thankfully, I recognized it as a reaction of sorts to the shampoo and immediately rinsed it out of my hair and off my scalp (which is why there’s so little there) and then immediately used shampoo that I had that I know there’s no reaction to for my scalp and washed it well, let it sit for one hand wash, and then rinsed it out. Then, I washed my hands about 10 more times before washing my face and scrubbing my back the best I could with my burning sensitive hands.I had to end my shower short after overwashing my hair and conditioning it for only a few minutes. This damaged my already not great hair. Thankfully, I had a friend willing to check my scalp for any potential further reactions and someone else to take the bottle out of the bathroom and place it in a plastic bag, where it now sits.Since then, I have compared the ingredients listed in the shampoo bottle against my most recent shampoo purchase. I crossed off ingredients listed on both and numbered them on the list in this shampoo vs the other one.Most of the ingredients are listed in the other shampoo in relatively close proximity on the list, but there are a few differences. Glycerin is the 4th ingredient listed, where it’s 8th on the other shampoo. Two of them are plant extracts, to which I don’t have known prior exposure to. Two of them are things I know I’m not allergic to since I’ve had direct contact with one of them (aloe vera) and the other one is a vitamin (b3). The 10th ingredient listed is phosholipids, which isn’t in the other shampoo. That leaves four ingredients that could have caused this reaction. They are: glycerin being so much higher on the list (quantity reaction), hydrolyzed oats, jojoba seed oil (which is mostly vitamin e), and phosholipids.So, yes. Please test this for a reaction even if you’ve tried hundreds of other shampoos and don’t think you’ll react to this like I thought.Update: after three days of having extremely tender palms with the consequences of the reaction getting worse and barely able to do my job, I have removed the stars that I could after a shower to condition my hair in hopes to reverse that damage. It wasn’t until today that I could evaluate the extent of the reaction I have. It’s either the higher amount of glycerin they put in or the phosholipids that isn’t common in shampoo that caused this reaction.I haven’t checked up on my scalp, but I know that will be worse too then when it was checked. Proceed with caution.
