I have red hair and have been dying it green. The red does not like the green. It’s hard to keep up with it. This made everything so easy. I can touch up the spots where the mint is fading into gold. I can do my roots. And I’m not sure if it’s because of the color I’ve gone with (lots of iris green and a couple of dots of aquamarine artic fox = mint) but I can just do the roots and the few golden strands and then redye my head and it looks even and nice. It bleached the spots I put it on but I did not do it all over so I don’t know how resistant the ends will be to losing the green. I added a photo of when I did the roots and right after I re-dyed it.I was surprised to get 3 sets of directions in the box and didn’t know which to pick. I used the 20% volume that comes in the box and some conditioner I already had. I saw some people say they left it on for longer than the amount it recommended on the directions so I did go a little over on the time but not as long as some of the reviewers. I think it recommended 20 mins and reviewers said they did an hour but I think I did 30-45 mins. My hair was straw after but just like with a normal bleach job and needed lots of moisture the next week. I’ll use it again and back off on the time and see how it does. I need to find a good balance between fried and white and less damaged but too much red. This product did a better job of it than the regular bleach jobs I’ve tried in the past so I am calling it a winner.

Disaster. Do not buy !!!
I put a darker semi permanent colour on the roots of my hairline for about 2 inches around my face instead of my usual lighter brown semi perm. It turned out reddy brown which I hated so I decided to remove it and start again. I tried another colour remover which just made it redder as it wasnât very powerful, so I went for this.What an absolute disaster!! No where on the box does it tell you that it bleaches your hair! Yes it removes unwanted colour but also your own hair colour too. Disaster if youâve brown hair like me. My hairline around my face ended up white and orange 🙁 and like another poster said it didnât even fully remove the semi permanent colour, just turned it orange. thankfully this happened me before 10 years ago and I had a box of lighter semi permanent colour ready to go. But the absolute horror and panic was unreal. Please donât get this unless your underlying colour is naturally blonde, white or bleached blonde for fashion colours.They really need to be clearer in their packaging

Remember your color theory!
I adore punky color, first of all.I had green in my hair⦠and itâs a pain to get out. This didnât really work⦠but thatâs kind of on me too⦠because color theory is really the only way to do that. ð The green I had was punky color and I adored it. But this didnât work for that⦠so just keep in mind that this wonât work for everything!

Definitely worked for what we needed (USED BLEACH INSTRUCTIONS)
We’ve been trying to strip red out of blonde so we can re dye it a different color and this has been the almost effective product so far. I also like that it didn’t completely fry my hair out the way a lot of other bleach based products do.And the deep conditioning mask smells and feels SO good.Will be using this as our go to color stripper.

Works really well
I had a semipermanent purple and magenta in my hair and this took it out of my hair within 15 minutes. Of course the part that had magenta still had a pink tinge but this worked very well. I also used it in my roots just to have a smoother transition for my next color.

Didn’t remove all color
Didn’t remove all the semi permanent hair color. It lightened it to an odd color in places. Doesn’t stink, but doesn’t seem to be less harsh than the other leading brand color oops.

You are going to go blonde!
I bought this thinking it would take the burgundy out of my hair but in fact in pulled out all color giving my very yellow orange hair. Given I was bleached prior to dying it burgundy. But the whole point of this product is to give you a literal blank canvas. So itâs a lightener without the harsh bleaching. It pulled the box dye out of my hair no problem! I did the full 60 minutes. My roots was natural brown and the rest was burgundy so my roots came out yellow and the rest a light orange close yellow so I have got to even it out.
