This perfume has a very feminine, vanilla scent. It’s perfect for winter! I was a bit surprised by the cost since I hadn’t heard of this brand, but it smells nice and lasts fairly long. I would recommend it!

Daughter says: Great and complex vanilla scent
PHLUR’s Missing Person is my daily go to fragrance but I wanted to try this Vanilla Skin perfume spray for a change of pace. I can’t say that I loved it on me. I found the Vanilla Skin to be overwhelmingly vanilla heavy, but on my daughter’s skin, it has a totally different scent profile. It’s interesting because the reason I started wearing Missing Person is because my daughter bought it and decided it wasn’t for her. I loved it though.She was happy to move the bottle of PHLUR Vanilla Skin over to her side of the vanity! She says, “I already had the Vanilla Skin body spray and really enjoyed that so I figured I would like the perfume version, and I was right. It smells pretty similar to the body spray. The packaging is a nice and heavy glass with a magnetized cap that feels quality. On my mom the scent pulled more vanilla extract which she wasn’t a fan of, but on me the vanilla mixed well with the other scents and just gives me a sense of warmth that’s not too sweet. It’s an elevated and adult vanilla. It has pretty good staying power but it’s not so strong that it gives me a headache. Happy to have this in my fragrance rotation.”

Warm, rich vanilla
I wasn’t sure-we crazy about this when I first sprayed it because it reminded me of a body spray I loved as a teenager called “Vanilla fantasy.” It still reminds me of that but this is the adult version. The main scent is definitely vanilla, like a sugary sweet vanilla. But it has really warm, rich cashmere notes in the dry down and once it melds with your skin it’s a much more complex scent. I get a really warm feeling in the back of my throat like I just drank a cup of hot cocoa, which might be the pink pepper? It also kind of reminds me of a perfume by some celebrity, I think it was called Vanilla Sugar. This is definitely a sweet dessert perfume which isn’t my usual type but I do really like it. It’s not going to replace my exotic woodsy perfumes but this is a nice casual everyday scent. I do wish the sandalwood was more pronounced because that is one of my favorite scents. I do find the perfume lasts a long time but it gets more subtle over time but I can smell it hours-even a day later-on my clothes.The bottle is high-end luxury with a magnetic ceramic cap and a nice thick bottle. It’s impressive but it should be given the price tag.

Exquisite scent
I love the tones of this perfume! I’ll start off by saying I am NOT a huge fan of vanilla, so realized getting this was a risk. I tend to like “food” scents in candles and, well, food, and more floral tones in perfume. The vanilla is very understated and mild, and blends beautifully with a very, very subtle sandalwood and other more floral notes. I’d describe it as warm and sensual, and a bit heavier than I would normally choose. Even so, I enjoyed trying it.I’m sensitive to scents and get headaches from them easily. A little of this goes a long way! Because it’s heavier, it does linger, but doesn’t cause a headache. For a long-lasting scent that’s yummy and warm, this perfume is a perfect choice.Technically, I picked this scent for my daughter who *does* like vanilla, so I’m sure she’ll be even happier with it than I am!
