The right balance
I have fine curly hair and dry scalp. I have found it difficult finding shampoo and conditioner with the right balance. Shampoos usually overstrip my hair and leave my scalp very itchy. While conditioners either don’t moisturize enough or weigh down. Not Your Mother’s Tahitian Gardenia Flower & Mango Butter shampoo and conditioner has the right balance.

A little goes a long way for my girls and I. We have combination hair between us. We have curly, wavy, thick and fine. This shampoo and conditioner doesnât feel like it dries our hair out I. Fact it is the opposite. It leaves our hair feeling hydrated and soft. It also makes it easy to comb out our tangles. So far we are loving this product.

Excellent shampoo and conditioner
Iâve been using the Not Your Motherâs Naturals Curl Defining Shampoo and Conditioner for a few weeks now, and Iâm really impressed with the results! My curls feel soft, defined, and less frizzy than before. The shampoo lathers well without stripping my hair, and the conditioner leaves my curls feeling moisturized but not weighed down. I also love that itâs made with 98% naturally derived ingredientsâsuch a nice bonus for anyone looking to go a more eco-friendly route with their hair care!The scent is light and refreshing, which I appreciate, as it doesnât overpower other products I use. My only reason for not giving it a full 5 stars is that I did find I needed to use a bit more product compared to other shampoos and conditioners Iâve tried, especially for my thicker hair. However, the price point for the 2-pack is excellent, so itâs still a great value.Overall, Iâm happy with this product and will definitely continue using it! Highly recommend for anyone with curly hair looking for a gentle, effective routine.

I love the smell. But it doesn’t calm down the friz of my hair. I have larger curls that come out more when moist out but I have lots of body making it stick out everywhere. I don’t like doing a lot to it so this set is not what I’m looking for. I will not be buying again. The bottles were of good quality and were not broken when I received. The shampoo was a little hard to pump but no biggie. Again I do love the smell. Smells pretty without being overwhelming. Would love it as a lotion.

Great Quality, Fantastic price
I have used expensive Prose shampoo and conditioner for years (and love it) but I am looking for something that is similarly good quality and less expensive – I found it with this!This pink bottle three pack is less expensive than one single bottle of shampoo and more than twice the size, and that is a huge plus. I’m almost certain this three pack will last me an entire year, saving me quite literally hundreds of dollars.The pink bottle smells amazing (if you like mango) and while it is stronger than what I usually use, I wouldn’t consider it a strong scent. I definitely can’t smell it throughout the day – only in the shower and while my hair is drying.The conditioner is thicker than I’m used to, but that just means I can use less of it (another plus) and it leaves my curls looking and feeling pretty good. I top it off with my prose curl cream (can’t give that up) and I’m ready to go in 15 minutes. Is the quality the same as prose? No. Is the quality good enough to replace it and save a bunch of money? In my opinion – yes. If you’re debating, give it a try!

Does nothing for my hair
I wish I wouldn’t have got sucked into the advertising for this product…it is not worth it for so many reasons!! I washed, conditioned, and used the “all-in-one” step 3 on five consecutive occasions trying to give it a chance to work…waste of water, time and money.1. When I ordered this there were 3 options to choose from, so I clicked on the Curly/Coily option and expected the product to be geared toward my curl type. Not so, the product I received said “all curl types”. As any curly girl knows not all products work on all curl types. So to start with…false advertising. Funny enough when I clicked on the link before writing this review there is now only one option.2. The shampoo, conditioner and “all-in-one” step 3 all have Shea Butter and Moringa Oil in it, which for any curly girl with thin hair should not be using too much of because it weighs the hair down. So you are putting both the Shea Butter and Moringa Oil on your hair 3 different times by using all three products. I have LOTS of extremely thick, coarse type 2C and 3A curls. This product even weighed my hair down.3. Far more pricey than other options out there that work so much better and are available at local stores.4. Bottles are made so that product comes out of the bottom of the tube, so if you try to set it down on a shelf after getting your product out without shutting it, it won’t sit on the shelf due to the curved top.5. Bottles are extremely hard to squeeze to get product out. If you have arthritis or carpel tunnel…forget even being able to squeeze these to get the product out without lots of pain. I wound up taking the lids offand putting them in a plastic bucket just so I could slam the bottles into my hand without the lids on to get product into my hands. Major inconvenience.6. With hair like mine (type 2C and 3A curls) the step 3 “all-in-one” did nothing to hold my curls. They were very soft, but no hold and became frizzy very quickly. I wound up using my favorite hair gel after applying the step 3 just to give my hair some hold and frizz control. I did diffuse my hair after each time. I cannot air dry…get too frizzy!7. I had to wash my hair more often when I was trying this product out due to the weight of the butter and oil in it. This is not good for my curl and hair type….dries out quickly with too many washings. Not only did I have to wash more often I also had to use my cleansing shampoo just to get rid of the excess butter and oil so I wouldn’t have unwanted weight on my hair…which also isn’t good for my hair/curl type and drying it all out.Will NEVER buy or recommend this product to anyone. I have learned my lesson and will stick with my favorite brand that you can find at Ulta and offers all different types of products for all different hair/curl types. Save yourself…DON’T BUY THIS!

Uffff!! Me quedo sin palabras. El mejor dúo!Buscaba un shampoo para pelo rizado como el mÃo sin que me lo tirara, pero también sin que lo esponjara al mismo tiempo. Y además , un acondicionador que me ayudara con el frizz, sin dejarlo âbabosoâ. Cumplen con todo esto! Y lo mejor, es que huelen delicioso. Casi no hacen espuma, por lo que solo necesitas un poquito y se enjuagan sin dejar residuos. La verdad, son caros pero valen la pena. Es un must haveâ¦los recomiendo ampliamente.
