Purchased for a cruise last year
Iâm very fair skinned and purchased item for a cruise. Itâs zinc based so it really needs to be rubbed in. I never got a sunburn even though I was outside most of the day

Works great, but a bit greasy
After a dog bite, I was told to use a Zinc Oxide based sunscreen to protect the area from scaring. This sunscreen did the trick and protected the area very well. It did remain a tad greasy, especially when sweating. However, I think that may be function of it being Zinc Oxide based so it is probably an issue with all Zinc Oxide sunscreens.

Works but definitely not sheer AT ALL
Bought this for a trip to Maui, Hawaii since non-mineral sunscreen is banned to protect the reefs.Despite “sheer” being in the product name, this leaves a VERY visible white cast, I’m talking GEISHA white. It protected me from the sun, but it made me look absolutely crazy while wearing it.Seemed pretty waterproof, which was great for swimming and I needed to double cleanse to remove it all at the end of the day.Can’t really knock it too much since, by nature, mineral sunscreen can’t be invisible, but minus one star for calling it “sheer” when it was much closer to “opaque.”Would not be good (for me) for daily wear; I’d probably try something tinted if I needed mineral face sunscreen, but I’ll be sticking to chemical sunscreen now that I’m back on the mainland!

Works perfectly. Completely unscented. When first applied it is opaque white, but donât worry. Spread it around by rubbing and it disappears. Doesnât immediately come off when swimming. It doesnât clog my pores and is not oily. And it doesnât sting my eyes. It feels noticeable on the skin for a very short time. I put Cortisone-10 Aloe Cream lotion on my face before applying which makes it easier to wash the sunscreen completely off in the shower. Good stuff! Not sure, but I think some scuba diving locations / resorts/ pools only allow mineral sunscreens like this one. ( (Forgot to mention- Iâm guessing you can use lotion other than the Cortisone-10 Aloe Cream (itâs available on Amazon) but it works so well that I stick with it. )

This is really nice and use this on my face and it goes on easily and is not oily. Offers good sun protection. A little goes a long way.

Excellent Sheer & Dry Touch Sunscreen!
Neutrogenaâs Zinc Oxide Mineral Face Sunscreen Lotion with SPF 50 is oil-free, non-comedogenic & non-greasy. This 2 ounce tube was worth the $9.89 I paid for it! I give it a good shake & apply to my face which has been cleansed with vitamin C serum. This is not heavy. Itâs a little running so be careful getting it out of the tube. A little goes a long way!! This doesnât leave a white cast look on me. Iâm able to apply my face primer & powder & one would never know I have sunscreen on. Itâs definitely sheer & definitely dry touch. It absorbs quickly after a little bit of rubbing, not as much as other non zinc oxide mineral sunscreens Iâve used. The 50 SPF is an added bonus to this fabulous sunscreen. Iâve purchased Banana Boatâs powered sunscreen that I use to reapply as I donât like to put sunscreen over my makeup especially if itâs a workday. If Iâm outside at home I would reapply as I donât usually wear makeup at home. Iâm so happy I did my research on zinc oxide sunscreens. These are without all the harmful chemicals. This may be only 2 ounces but I foresee this lasting me awhile. Iâll definitely repurchase & I definitely recommend!
