I have sensitive scalp and am allergic to most hair dyes. Tried this because its vegan and has no harsh chemicals to cover grays. It worked really well. Didnt make my scalp itch nor did it burn me while color was setting. Will use this brand again.

Great color but very different from description
I read in a book about detoxing from chemicals in daily products to get away from hair dye as fast as you can. Or to try more natural box dyes so I thought I would try this one.Plus side: I really like the color and the price is way less than a salon which is nice. The color is more of a reddish brown. I wouldn’t describe it as golden dark blonde as on the box. Light to medium reddish brown I’d say. So the name and color on the box are quite off imo.On the minus side: I noticed my hair feeling dry and looking damaged after using this dye but not sure if it’s any more so than another box dye. It could get better the more I wash my hair but it gives me pause in buying this again.Plus: The smell was 1000 x better than other brands with ammonia. It hardly irritated my scalp as other brands do which tend to sting and itch. :(For that alone I’d use this brand again or try another one without ammonia.Easy to apply. Just like any other box dye.

I have loved this low chemical hair color for years now & absolutely no hair damage ever! Since I’ve been using this my dogs hang around cause there’s zero chemical smell 👍🏽👍🏽

Good Product with minor issues
I want to preface this review with the fact that I’m a natural red-head, and many products — especially dyes and colourants — are not made with red-heads in mind. I wanted to mix things up and try out this hair dye because it has been recommended to me by another red-head that uses it for her greying roots. It looks beautiful on her, but she does have a slightly different shade of natural red hair, which I didn’t think about before just slapping it on, so I’m not one to blame a product for my own mistakes. I admit that the colour of it while processing was scary dark and I thought I made a huge mistake. Once it was all washed out and mostly dried, it’s a beautiful, warm, and chestnut-y colour.I purchased the terracotta blonde colour because I thought it would work close to my natural colour, which I have pictured in the first of the three pictures I’ve included in this review. My natural hair is definitely closer to the brighter orange end than to the colder, deeper red end. From the picture on the box, I thought it’d be lighter, but that’s not what made me give it a 4/5 stars. Actually, I have carpal tunnel and found that if I was using the bottle of dye for longer than 3 minutes, it turned to a really thick gel that didn’t want to come out of the bottle, and I had to squeeze the bottle really hard. I know the point of this hair dye is that it’s gel, but a lot of it just wouldn’t come out of the bottle without me having to take off the application tip and dump as much as possible into a gloved hand by shaking it quickly and aggressively. That’s really my biggest complaint, that it just becomes so difficult to come out of the applicator. Maybe I’m alone on this issue because I already have wrist and joint issues, and that’s okay. I just wanted to throw that out there in case anyone else has hand and grip difficulties.Other than that, I think I could get used to this colour. It had a nice smelling hair mask included with a decent amount for long, thick hair. I had to get two boxes because I have a lot of hair. I have sensitive skin, and it didn’t irritate me at all. The dye itself didn’t smell bad or chemically. My hair was left soft, and I think the colouration looks very natural. I dyed my eyebrows as well, and it looks like it could just be my natural hair colour. It looks warm and inviting, and it’s just a shade or two darker than my natural hair. All around, a pleasant process. I think I’d also recommend this brand to others. I’ve tried other hair dye and colour deposits before in the past, and besides overtone, this felt like the most gentle and nourishing hair colorant for my hair. Lastly, I found that it washed out after processing much easier than other dyes that take well over 45 minutes just to run clear with two boxes of dye on my hair. Definitely worth a try if you’re looking for a less irritating, ammonia-free box dye.

I really like this brand of hair colour, and this one (9A) is a true honey blonde
