Great sponges!
These sponges last a long while, they clean well, and are a great value. They are thick, effective and durable. They do shed little pieces of coconut every once in awhile but thatâs really not a big deal. Itâs literally just a sliver or two that just washes down the sink. Theyâre absorbent and clean well and are less harmful on the environment. I cut them in half to make them last longer. This box is going to last a good long while.

Larger than Scotch Brite and safer
I used to use scotch Brite natural but when they switched from the brown natural sponge to the white natural sponge, they shrunk the size. I didnât like the size of the new scotch bite so began using these. These are the same size as the old scotch brites and work great. I feel they are safer because when I wrap the sponge around a large knife blade these cover the sharp part where as the new scotch Brites are smaller do not cover the entire blade.

A little stiff for the first few washes. Eventually the coconut fiber starts to disintegrate if you use them daily for over a month. I generally throw them away and get a fresh one every month.

UPDATE: May 24, 2024I ranted and raved about these sponges and they are still decent. However I have noticed they do stain with some things that are pigmented like curry and tumeric.MOST IMPORTANTLY!!!!!! I’ve noticed the price creeping up after my 3rd purchase. Which doesn’t work for me. The sponges aren’t exceptional enough for brand loyalty to a scam or dishonest pricing practice. I get the feeling the price sneaking up after you extend loyalty through repeat buy is an Amazon feature and the company doesn’t mind the game. I can’t stand a slick slimy business practice.Quick point SHOP AROUND. You can get the same sponges for cheaper from other brands here on Amazon. Same sponges for $6.99 /$8.99 and some offer more like 24 for less. DO NOT GIVE PURCHASE Loyalty to money hungry businesses. Price has risen to $11.99 for me I suspect in a few more purchases it will be $14.99. So I don’t typically like the idea of the white sponge because I know that once they get stained from food I’d throw them out because I don’t play about a dirty looking kitchen but to my surprise the white sponge rarely stains from any color. Not sure why but that certainly ads to the LUX look and experience as I love my white kitchen and the white sponge compliments the clean pure high maintenance esthetic of white everything kitchen…However the actual LUX part of these sponges is the packaging as they come in a very sturdy recycled cardboard box, as it feel like it was made from coconut too, just beautifully smooth. The sponges must be sucked with air prior to packaging as they do send 14 tightly uniformly packed in box, they aren’t sold in the regular plastic but in almost like a treasure or large ring box, in which you just lift the top. Don’t be ghetto like me and think its some regular smuggler box and ruin a perfectly sturdy storage solution by rushing to open it. As most brand wrap sponges in low end packaging… lol As these people really took their time to package them and obviously intended a high end storage experience and by God they succeeded.I’ve stored them neatly away right under my kitchen sink which I keep immaculately organized, so the box esthetic fits perfectly…Most importantly I admit, Unfortunately, I was expecting a temu product as the price was more than I wanted to spend but also alot more sponges than big box brands offer so I wrongfully assumed over priced cheap end use. However. I took the plung because I got 14. Upon first impression the sponges looked much thinner then the typical size sponge so I was like ah-ha this is the scam I figured it was.. lol However looks are deceiving as my Grandmother use to say ” believe none of what you hear and half of what you see” lol. In this case once you wet the sponge they expand to the regular size.ALL IN ALL…. Yes getting a good deal is what most want so this product fits that consumer but if you also want eco friendly luxury via estheticly pleasing storage and nice end user unpacking experience. STOP SEARCHING because this is it… Today Amazon competed with Etsy’s end reciever experience as most are small business creatives who really wants to build relationships with people through the mail. Best sponges!
I love these sponges! They’re the only sponges I use now! I really hate single-use plastics, including sponges that break down (and break down microplastics everywhere around my kitchen) and have to be thrown out so often. These might be a little less durable than plastic sponges but only a little less, and I love that they’re plant based so I don’t feel as bad about throwing it in the landfill or buying more as I would plastic. And this package comes with so many! I’m set for a while.

I read many negative reviews about these before I decided to chance it. I canât say that I love them, but they arenât terrible either. I would agree with some people that they are very hard and not forgiving when you first get them, they even hurt because of the long stiff fibers, but nothing wearing gloves doesnât avoid. However, unlike some people, I do find that they soften over time.The scrubby side is great at getting off anything thatâs super stuck on, but works less well as the sponge softens. I also found that after about 2 weeks they donât scrub well anymore. The ones from grove will usually last me a month (I live in a very dry climate so mold growth isnât an issue here).Some people commented on the thickness of the sponge and while the ratio of sponge to rough side is different than most other sponges, the total thickness is the same as any other sponge I have used.I will say that I almost gave up on these before I even tried them because they were so squished into the box that it took me a full minute to get the first one out.Overall, theyâre just okay. I probably wonât buy them again and will go back to the grove ones that are way more expensive, but also last longer.
