So far good but will update
I have severe dry eye. Iâm hoping these Manuka drops will help. I had been using OTC artificial tears at least 8 x a day for years. But my eyes started swelling up and when waking up my eyelids would be stuck to my eye. Then I started to go to dry eye specialists. First was the punctual plugs along with steroids. Some relief but not much. RXâs eye drops that were tried were Cequa and Xiidra. Both stung very badly and gave me severe eye pain and redness. So they were not options for me. Doctor said allergic reaction. RX-Tyrvaya was tried. It is a nasal spray but goes up to eyes. It helped somewhat. After a year it no longer helped. Also all of those were very costly. Anywhere from $150-$400 a month. The Miebo eye drops. Probably the worst of them all. So bad only used for 2 days. My eyes hurt bad along with severe headache., halos and tunnel vision. So now going to try these Manuka drops. I read reviews of drops stinging but I had none. I did shake the bottle before putting drops in my eyes. So far the Manuka has calmed the dry eye. It is only my first day trying them but I actually feel a difference. I will update review in future. Hoping this helps other ppl with same dry eye issues.

Incredibly, it does work.
I was skeptical that this would be any different from other medicines I have tried, but I was desperate, and was swayed by the overwhelmingly positive reviews.I have had pretty severe dry eye for years, and I have tried just about every medicine and non-surgical treatment there is: hot compress, glycol based drops, carboxymethilcellulose based drops, povidone, glycerine, mineral oil, rhestasis, the lot.Every single eyedrop or gel treatment ended up making the condition worse, either irritating the eye or making it feel even dryer and gritty after a while. The only thing that could provide some relief were the Symilasan homeophatic dry eye drops, which do help, but must be applied fairly frequently, as the effect does not last very long.My eyesight was getting really bad, with bouts of fogginess that would not go away, or painful dryness, and I was at wits end.I was even more skeptical of these Optimel eyedrops when I read that the listed active ingredient is glycerin, which has never done any good for me. But what the heck, I had already forked out the money, and everyone seemed so enthusiastic so, what’s there to lose, right?I can verify, as everyone else has stated, that these things sting like the devil. If you have a low threshold for pain and stinging in the eye, do keep this in mind.In my experience, the intense sting lasts for about 15-20 seconds, and then my eyes tear abundantly for a few more seconds. So altogether, count on being out of action for about 1-2 minutes after applying the drops. In other words, it’s not something that you want to apply as you’re rushing from your desk to a meeting room, or while you wait for a traffic light to change. My verdict: much, MUCH to my surprise, these things have actually worked for me. I have no idea what the magic is, and/or whether the manuka honey is actually such a potent medicine (the drops do smell strongly of honey), but they have done something for me that nothing else has done: provide effective and prolonged relief to my severe dry eye.I still have my trusty Symilasan by my side, and I still have to apply it a few times in between Optimel applications (three times a day). But I use them far less frequently now, and I can now often go between Optimel applications without feeling the need to apply the Symilisan drops.I would not say that Optimel is “miraculous”, as it not quite that marvellous, and I still have dry eye, but it certainly has shown to be the only thing that has actually provided several hours of relief and significantly improved eyesight, without the degraded performance from all other medicines I have tried so far.

Like Poison in Your Eyes Buyer Beware
How this is even a product being marketed is beyond me. Burns on contact for a solid two minutes , felt like my eye was on fire. I expected a sting but this cannot POSSIBLY be good for eyes. Guess I didnt read far enough through the reviews. Was looking for an all natural product and this was the closest I could come to replacing Similisan eye drops from Sweden, since the FDC in their infinite wisdom yet again banned a 100% natural product that has been around for over a hundred years and caused no harm. Govt agency overreach at its shining best!

These drops work like a miracle. I had pink eye on a Friday evening. I researched and found Manuka honey drops work so I ordered. Got them on Monday and had relief by Tuesday. Worth the cost.

Works well, but through an odd mechanism
Every dry-eyes eye drop Iâve tried is fairly soothing to the eye. These drops, however, sting like heck. That said, when youâre in a desperate âdryâ moment, these do the trick. They hurt so much that your eyes water, and presto: the dryness is gone for at least thirty minutes. They also get rid of any filmy residue you might have from using a more viscous eye drop. The old saying, âno pain, no gain,â is certainly true in this case. Whether they are safe, I cannot say. My optometrist said he could not comment because heâd never heard of them.

Been a life changer
I have severe dry eyes, while waiting to go in for dry eye therapy. My eye doctor suggested these drops. I put one drop in the corner of an eye while looking up, twice a day. It does sting but I have been on them for a couple of months. The difference they have made in my life. The drops contain honey which is an antibacterial. Canât say enough good things about the drops.

Works well, but tip of bottle fell out.
This product works very well to reduce my eye inflammation, but unfortunately the tip of the bottle popped out after only a few uses. Now the product is no longer sterile and I have low confidence that the bottle tip will not end up in my eye.

Brennen erst dann klebrig und dann top.

All the reviews are correct, it does sting (like a bee) when first applied to the eye but the results are so worth it! Am able to wear my contact lenses for a whole day now and my eyelashes are returning to normal which is amazing. After many years of debilitating blepharitis and medications, eye discharge, blurred vision etc. this has solved the problem in two weeksâ¦. Wish Iâd found it sooner.

I have severe dry eyes that leads to blepharitis if Iâm not careful. These keep it at bay and allow me to wear make up too. I use them first thing and last at night. They do sting really badly for about 20 seconds and then itâs fine. Easy to use and very effective.
