Received the classic, fresh, masculine cologne I paid for
In my opinion, the people on here who received good bottles and are bashing the scent probably have way too high of expectations for a $20 bottle of cologne. Lucky You was the first cologne I started wearing in high school, when I caught a whiff of my friendâs cologne and asked him what it was. Target sold 1.7 oz bottles at the time, and Iâd pick up a bottle every so often. I got MULTIPLE compliments, including from the ex girlfriend of the friend I mentioned before, as well as my sister, who always said, âYou smell SOOO good!â I canât compare the number of compliments to other colognes because I only recently branched out and started buying other colognes. However, recently I pulled out an old bottle of Lucky to throw on for an evening out, and just an hour later, a random college-aged girl sitting nearby turned around and asked, âWHAT are you wearing. It smells SO good.âI was a little worried that this bottle would be a fake or would be really watered down, especially considering how cheap it is, but in the air and on my skin it smells the same as it always has. Straight away, it smells strongly of citrus and alcohol, which is to be expected since itâs a true cologne (look up cologne vs. edt vs. edp vs. parfum if you donât know about fragrance concentration levels). To me, after the dry down, it smells very fresh, soapy (if you like soapy fragrances), citrusy, and slightly sweet, which Iâm guessing is the cardamom. I donât know much about base notes, but Fragrantica.com identifies teakwood, sandalwood, and musk, which are classically very masculine scents. It only projects for an hour or two, which is to be expected for a true cologne and in my opinion is great for an evening out or to kick off your day at work. Itâs a GREAT daily fragrance considering the price point and the fresh, clean scent it offers.

Itâs gone in an hour or two (as far as silage and projection) but⦠Okay this is a freshie, with a slight twist. Itâs an out of the shower fragrance – a bit soapy (which is exactly what I wanted) – with a minimalistic approach to some slight fruit undertone. Itâs not obvious. Itâs not sweet – I canât really describe it. Itâll be great right out of the shower and keeping you feeling and smelling fresh and clean – and interesting. Itâs not musky. Itâs not very spicy (not in the pronounced way that is typical of menâs cologne). Its not heavy. Itâs very subtle and understated. You can amplify its effect with more sprays but it will never go beastmode – I like that itâs safe from being screechy, cloying, obnoxious. End result will be youâll smell clean for maybe an hour or 2 – itâs a slight skin scent after that – undetectable unless your nose is against your skin. I, without a doubt say this easily passes as UNISEX so ladies – go for it, too! The scent is so non-gendered – it will just mingle with the Skin of whomever is wearing it. I recommend – just keep it (or a travel atomizer) on you to refresh every hour or so. LADIES! PRO TIP! Layer this over philosophy Pure grace lotion, body spritz or perfume – and you have a soapy, fresh, clean, but warm beautiful scent (not the squeaky clean sterile scent of pure grace alone).UPDATE: I just ordered another bottle because Iâmobsessed with this scent, now. Donât get me wrong – I liked it when I first smelled it but it quickly moved to the bottom of my fragrance display – I was almost indifferent to it but I didnât dislike it. Anyways – a few weeks after purchasing – I had a little anxiety and was thinking this would be a good scent to wear – itâs super subtle and smooth and not loud (like my thoughts at the time). So I got out of the shower and gave a few sprays, over pure grace lotion. Let them dry then sprayed all over again. Thatâs a big benefit to this frag- itâs impervious to overspraying – you literally canât overdo it. Iâm all about one spray to the neck and maybe one to the wrists depending on fragrance strength. Not with this. I go to town with this! Because after 40 seconds – itâs just freaking delightful and still understated. Anyways! I used it that day and it was growing on me so I used it the next day. And the next day. Now I literally look forward to getting out of the shower just so I can wear this. There was some sort of note I couldnât pinpoint – I didnât hate it – but I wasnât familiar with it – it made me feel like it kept this from being strictly soapy. Iâm glad itâs there! I already have strictly soapy frags (Pure grace, for example). This one is soapy plus something else and I canât get enough of it. Also! You can spray away and then put on a different fragrance a few hours later and it wonât clash because this is already a skin scent. I will always have a backup of this. Itâs easily my favorite dumb reach combo and I have dozens of choices when it comes to scents. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Smells good but does not last long
I am always hesitant to buy colognes and perfumes on amazon. I think most are old stock or fake, and they smell off or are not very strong. Not saying this is amazons fault, more so the seller or supplier. I feel it’s better to just spend the few extra dollars and get it from a reputable store or directly from the manufacture. I had this in my cart for a while and there was a deal one day so I bought it for an every day scent. I really do like the smell and why I only knocked 1 star. It’s not too strong and more of a clean smell, however, it does not seem to last long at all. When I first spray it on it smells great, but not long after I do not smell anything. My application method is, before I put a shirt on, I hold it at arms length, and spray it once in front aimed at me and walk into it, and one time behind me and back up into it. Depending on how strong the scent is I might do 2 sprays. My test is later in the day I will put my shirt collar up over my nose to test the scent and with this stuff I smell nothing, even only an hour later. I have even done 2, 3, and 4 sprays and my test gives me nothing. Other colognes, even ones I am used to and have worn for years, I can always smell it, but not this one. Not sure if this is normal and just how it is, but I would expect to still smell it at least a few hours later.

Smells nice â woody and musky scent with light hint of mint. It is definitely a lighter cologne, the projection doesnât last all day. But for the price and size â itâs a good spray to have for everyday use.
