First, hereâs the stats⦠47 years old, dry, sensitive, problem skin. Some hyperpigmentation from old blemishes, minor sun damage, and of course, aging. I have looked my whole life for a foundation that worked for me. Too much coverage, too little, no lasting power, too cakey , etc⦠and Iâve always hated the sensation of being able to feel makeup on my skin. I randomly bought this after searching for âtinted serumâ and liked the many positive reviews. So I tried it. And it is awesome! It feels so light going on, way more like skincare than actual makeup, and the color is SPOT ON. It seems to have good staying power despite feeling so light, and has just the perfect amount of coverage for me. It feels very moisturizing and gives my skin a beautiful, dewy glow. Natural and Full coverage
This foundation was the first one I ever bought and I just keep coming back for more. Itâs extremely natural looking and a perfect shade match for me. I found it to be full coverage while also moisturizing as well. It feels very light weight too, it doesnât feel like a true full coverage foundation. Each time I purchase this I never get disappointed, the formula is always the same when I receive a new foundation bottle.

Great product but not returnable
Make sure you know your correct shade because I missed the statement that it was not returnable. I ordered 2 different shades and one didn’t work, so I went to start a return and found out I couldn’t, so I’m stuck with a bottle I can’t use. But, I’ve been testing out this skin tint along with the one by Maybelline. I much prefer this formula. It is light coverage but buildable. It looks like your skin, it just evens out your complexion. It doesn’t even feel like you are wearing anything, so it’s perfect for everyday use. I don’t use a primer, I mix my moisturizer with my SPF and let it settle before putting on the skin tint. I use the BK Beauty 101 brush to apply it. I use less product because the brush doesn’t soak it all up like a beauty blender. I apply a very light veil of setting powder and a bit of bronzer and highlighter to give my face some dimension and out the door I go. It lasts all day. I’ve worn it while taking yoga, running errands, and it still looks great at the end of the day. Unfortunately, the shade range kind of sucks, so you might need to mix 2 colors together, but it’s much cheaper on Amazon than it is in stores.

I didn’t realize how much I liked this until I ran out of it. I use it for online meetings and daily errands. I save my foundation for more formal events, outings and occasions.PROS:- The color is rich and foundation-like, but it’s just a tinted serum.- No discernable smell/odor- It matches my skin tone very well, with no ash or whitecast- It applies nicely and feels breathable. My skin doesn’t break out.- When I’m hybrid/teleworking and need to get on a videoconference call, this keeps me looking presentable at an affordable price.BEWARE:- No SPF- It doesn’t last as long as standard foundations… because it’s a serum, not a foundation. So, the coverage is minimal.- Depending on your skin type, you might have to apply a moisturizer under it.

Does Not Perform As You’d Expect
To preface: I have combination skin (oily t-zone, but dry elsewhere), acne prone, and I am very, very, pale. Dare I say, pasty. I was excited to by this because of all the good reviews that advertise how hydrating it is and the buildable coverage- I was happy about both those things because 1) I’m young and I like full coverage for redness and long days 2) I LOVE skincare. It is never too early for preventative measures. That being said, this did not perform as I expected it to.First off, the shades are all off. I’d recommend ordering a shade lighter than you typically do if you want a perfect match. It’s not the biggest deal if it doesn’t match, as the formula ensures a seamless blend regardless. But, I found that the shade I needed was lighter than I typically go for- keep that in mind. Also, as other reviewers mentioned, it is sooooo liquidy. An absolute mess to work with. Second, I expected this to be a sheer light coverage, but it actually performs more like a medium to high, especially if you set with a powder like I do. That was a little unexpected for me as I usually prefer sheer to light coverage just for the sake of letting my skin aerate. Even so, this formula is very light feeling and breathable, and it feels like satin on the skin.Cons, however: I found this to be wildly drying? I’m not sure what the deal with that it. I feel like it dries out my skin like crazy and makes all my other products perform a lot worse, which is an absolute pain. I also had a huge breakout as soon as I started using this, but maybe that’s just a purging period. I’m going to give it time.All things considered, I’d recommend as much as any foundation. It’s fine. It performs okay, but definitely doesn’t work for the skin as much as you’d like it to, and certainly not the way they advertise it to.
