Perfect pocket comb
As described, these pocket combs have smooth surfaces and rounded points that are much more comfortable and easy on your scalp and hair. They are also thicker and stronger than other pocket combs that I’ve bought. And I actually like the small size so they fit easily in a back pocket and you don’t feel a big lump when you sit down. These will be my “go to” pocket combs from now on. It’s also nice to see they’re still made in England and the quality and craftsmanship is top notch!

Small in size, but big in quality
This a great comb. The quality of the material is much better than the black hard plastic ones I’ve had previously. I bought the one in tortoise shell color and it looks nice.This is at least a half inch shorter than most off-the-shelf pocket combs you can buy. It took some getting used to handling the smaller footprint, but I like it. It also is easier to fit in the pocket due to the size.The teeth have a round, smooth edge to them. The black store-bought ones seem to have very sharp teeth, and if I wasn’t careful, I’d scrape my scalp with them; not the case with this one.The small size, better quality, and variety of colors make this comb the obvious choice to buy. You won’t be disappointed.

Why is it so hard to find a nice quality comb? Most are just cheaply made, too flexy, sharp edges all over, too fine or too coarse.These are excellent, nice quality plastic, smooth all over, convenient pocket size and a nice tooth stagger for beards.Now I don’t have nearly as many spiders and birds living in my beard and if they sneak in there, Kent has my back. The squirrels are trickier as they have learned to anticipate the comb.

Excellent for fine hair
This is the first comb Iâve used thatâs actually useful to style my very fine, straight hair for when I travel lightly. Usually I use a soft bristle boar brush from the same manufacturer that I love, but itâs bulkier to travel with so I take this comb instead. The teeth are close enough that it does brush my hair rather than just pass through. I wouldnât recommend for very dense/long hair as it might be harder to hold onto and spacing of the teeth wouldnât allow it to pass through so easily. Quality is great and feels like a solid acetate type plastic.

I’ve been getting tired of the cheapo combs sold at WalMart, Walgreens, etc., so I started perusing combs on Amazon by rating. Of course, the Kents popped up to the top quickly. I’d never heard of them, but after reading a couple of dozen glowing reviews, I purchased three of these – one for my pocket, one for the bath, and one for reserve.If there is a pocket comb ‘archetype’, the Kent 113 is it. This thing oozes quality construction. It’s a smidge on the thick side, but the teeth taper uniformly to a comfortable width. Combing my (thinning) hair is actually a treat, since there’s no scraping, dragging, or snagging when using it. It really does comb well. And it fits _perfectly_ inside my wallet. (My wife says using it reminds her of the zipper on her Coach purse, it’s so smooth.)Since the 113 is a bit short, I may try the Kent 143 for the bath and keep the 113s for pocket use. I don’t know how long they’ll last in my pocket (Those cheap Ace combs are usually good for about a month before I start losing teeth), but if I break one of the Kents, I’m enough of a fan now to replace it immediately. (I expect it will be years before I see a broken tooth on my Kent 113.) Highly recommended.Update: 9/26/2016: It’s been over 2-1/2 years since I first purchased these combs. Since then, I’ve been carrying the same comb in my pocket and have not lost a single tooth out of that comb. This comb has actually more than paid for itself, because I would have replaced half dozen or more WalMart specials in the same time period. IMLTHO: These are the best combs available, bar none.Update: 6/30/2018: It’s now 4-1/2 years and the same original comb has yet to lose a single tooth after being carried in my wallet every day and used multiple times per week. Doesn’t get more awesomer than that…

You just have to trust that it is the best thing that has ever happened to your hair and head. I was sceptical about the review as well, but it proved to be worth it when I received it and tried. Yes, it is not the cheapest one, but the price is just one-two cups of coffee.
