My Ode To Dishwashing 😉 This little thing is a game changer!!
“O, manual dishwashing! You suck. You make it extremely precarious to get sharp knives squeaky clean, as they are constantly slicing into my dish rags and fingers, regardless of how careful I am. It’s just way too risky to scrub away at their sharp blades, and I am left praying that they are clean enough to use once more without the risk of being stricken with Salmonella or E coli. O, manual dishwashing! Why must you hurt me so?But, wait! What do my eyes behold? This odd little tool that favors the Wind-Up Chattering Teeth toys from the days of my childhood. Will you, Chattering Teeth BladeBrush, help me on my quest for easy breezy, thorough knife cleansing? Will you protect me, and my poor dish rags, from the constant threat of their slicing blades? Let us see if you will do as promised, little BladeBrush. Let us put thee to the test! Now in my slice-less hands do I hold, an amazingly clean knife, all shiny and bright! You have effortlessly, yet gently, banished grease and grime, leaving only a germ free and spotless blade. No longer shall I dread my chore. No longer shall I question how effectively their blades have been cleansed. No longer shall I throw away the remnants of my shredded rags, or bandage up my shredded hands. You have banished my fears of cleanliness! You have diminished the effort required to perform my task, and leave me amazed at the ease with which you do your job! O, Chattering Teeth BladeBrush! You have kept your promise, and for that I thank you. You will always have a special place in my heart, and my sink caddy, little BladeBrush. Manual dishwashing, I hate thee no more.”IN ALL SERIOUSNESS: This thing is amazing! It takes very little effort to deep clean my knives. In less than 10 seconds flat, even my largest knife is spotless and shining. I don’t have to worry about how effectively I’ve sanitized them, or about shredding my rags and fingers. Obviously, you must always use caution when handling ANY sharp object. This little guy takes a ton of the guess work out of it, though. A quick rinse under the water to wet the bristles, a drop of dishwashing liquid, and 90 seconds of easy scrubbing. That’s all it takes to make every knife in my butcher’s block fresh as a daisy. The plastic bristles are effective but gentle, so there’s never any scratches and wear on the blades. They truly sparkle when I’m done, and all thanks to this awesome product. Thirty seconds under the running water, to make sure the dish soap and grime are rinsed completely, and I’m done. I sit it on its side to allow for complete water drainage during drying. No mildew, no smell, no slime. It’s awesome!!! BUY IT TODAY!!!!

A great tool for accident-prone people like me
I’ve always had a knack for cutting my hand open when trying to clean knives. This skill particularly shines during the holidays. One of my most noteworthy events took place one fateful Thanksgiving when our guest responsible for the yams cancelled an hour before guests were to arrive. I quickly whipped together a yam dish and was cleaning the knife, proud of my accomplishment when disaster hit. I had to watch in slow motion as the knife slipped and the extremely sharp blade sliced across my metacarpophalangeal joint (index finger base knuckle), resulting in a bloody mess. I scurried across the light beige carpet to the bathroom, having to stop for a photo opp by my brother to document that year’s holiday injury. My parents were just soooo thrilled to have a pic of my bloody hand show up in their photo album screensaver. Thanksgiving went on without incident, but the pain of the scar lasted for years.I had many other run-ins with sharp knives. My dad’s a butcher so knives were always very sharp in our household. I tried changing my knife cleaning method, but even as recently as November, on my other half’s birthday, I got a bloody middle finger from my amazing HENCKELS Forged Premio 8″ Bread Knife. This tradition had to be stopped or sooner or later I would be fingerless! In comes the Joseph Joseph Blade Brush Knife and Cutlery Cleaner Brush. I’m frugal, but I spent a little more to get the gray version to match the grayness of everything else in our home. I’m happy to say that I have used this item and have successfully cleaned knives without cutting my hand open. Just squeeze some dish soap onto the bristles and run the knife through it (facing AWAY from your hand, of course). Just a few swipes through and a rinse off and the knife is clean & ready to go back in the block. It’s also handy to clean utensils covered in melted cheese or other hard-to-clean substances. It’s also not bad to look at and is a delightful conversation starter. It’s not an expensive product, but it will quickly pay itself off with the savings I will have from not using so many first aid products treating my accidental knife wounds. I’m sure I will find other things to injure myself on, but hopefully nothing as dangerous as kitchen knives. Thank you, Joseph Joseph, for saving me from my knives.

It’s ok, but could be better
I wish it was a bit more flexible, so you could actually squeeze it easily for stubborn dirt. But otherwise – it works as expected. Wouldn’t buy it a second time tho, sponge on a stick works better either way, and can clean not only knifes

I love this gadget!
It works on knifes, flatware & serving utensils! It gives a good scrub for before using the dishwasher or hand washing! It sets at my sink & I use it all the time. I love it!

Works great
I have MS and my hands lose feeling quite often. This makes washing all utensils and knives so much easier and safer.

Solid plastic with no “give”
This doesn’t pinch, you have to just pass the knife through and hope it cleans. I guess I expected to be able to tighten the brush. Any scrubber will work just as well or better.

Works so well!
Love this thing! Itâs the only brush we use to hand wash our knives because it protects your hands from injury! Great scrubbing power. The plastic is high quality. We use it to clean both knives and our wooden spoons so itâs pretty versatile. My only complaint is that I wish it wasnât bright green since I leave it out on a dish on my counter.

Works Great!
I am really accident prone! I used to cut myself frequently while washing my knives. It is so easy to clean them now! Just swish your knife through the brush and you’re done! The brush is thick so it really does a thorough cleaning! This is one of the favorite purchases I’ve made in the last year! At $7.95, its definitely worth the cost! I definitely recommend this!
