I experienced a similar jelly mask during a visit to my Japanese cosmetologist, so after reading the ingredients of this mask, I decided to purchase it for home care. I mix the powder and water by eye and apply it with a brush to my face, neck, and décolleté. I use any leftover mask on my hands as well. I leave it on for 15 minutes and then rinse it off with water. I was very impressed with the results—the skin is deeply hydrated after just one use. Another great bonus is how little product is needed each time. One jar will probably last me a whole year with regular use

Definitely a good value! Left my skin hydrated for sure. Wasn’t able to get pictures with mask on though because it was super messy to make and even more messy and harder to put on. I’d followed the directions, equal parts water and powder, it is so liquidy and hard to put on your face in a thick amount like shown in the picture. And I’ve used similar products so I know if you put a thin layer, it can sometimes hurt to take off. It dripped everywhere. I’m gonna give it another shot because my skin did look great but I’m going to try less then equal parts of water and make it thicker.

Took a couple of attempts to get the ratio right, but it’s definitely not a 1:1. You’ll figure out what works for you. I recommend mixing in the water in little by little to help the powder fully absorb and avoid any clumps. This will also better help the ideal, kind of slime-like texture that works best for me. Let it set up and remove. Leaves my skin feeling very soft and I love that there is so much in this jar — this will definitely last me a while.

I wish this had better instructions. The photos on the site say do a 1:1 ratio of powder to water and apply to face. It does not say how thick or thin the paste should be on the face. So I mixed it accordingly and put it on my face, some spots were thinner, some thicker. I let it sit for 15-20 minutes. There was absolutely no “peeling off.” This did not come off nicely. When it dried it was a mixed between dried toothpaste and dried paint. After 20 literal minutes of trying to scrape it off, I ended up washing it off. My face was red and splotchy from trying to pick off the bits. Super messy. I will admit that my face does feel a little softer, but the taking off process was so traumatic I don’t want to use it again.
