The best hair cream to ever exist
Iâve finally found the holy grail for my hairâHighland Glacial Clay Hair Cream! This product is a game-changer for anyone with fine hair like mine. Not only does it maintain the perfect shape and style throughout the day, but it also does so without the heavy, greasy look that other creams tend to leave behind. The matte finish and light control are exactly what I need for a natural, understated style that still looks sharp and well-groomed.What truly sets this hair cream apart is its multifunctionality. Itâs not just for styling; it doubles as a dry shampoo, keeping my hair looking fresh and lush between washes. The all-natural formula, which includes 15 sustainably sourced ingredients, really seems to nourish my hair and scalp, leaving my hair softer than ever. The commitment to sustainability is also a huge plus for me. The 100% recyclable aluminum packaging aligns perfectly with my values, and knowing that this product is designed in Boulder and produced in Los Angeles adds that extra touch of trust in its quality and origins.Whether Iâm styling fresh curls or going for a slicked-back look, this cream works wonders without any fuss. Itâs designed for all hair types and textures but truly shines for those of us with medium to long hair aiming for a âloose, natural look.âHighland Glacial Clay Hair Cream is not just a styling product; itâs an essential part of my daily grooming routine that promotes healthier hair and scalp. Hair happiness is indeed guaranteed, and I couldnât be more satisfied with the results. If youâre on the fence about trying a new hair product, let this be the one that changes your mind!

I have mixed feelings; it might not be suitable for thicker hair
It is a great product. It keeps my hair in place when I want it to be more casual and helps make it look less poofy when dry. I still have quite a few random hairs sticking out, but that’s probably due to my thick, coarse hair. It manages to tame 90% of my hair as long as I put a decent amount in it right after a shower. It helps a little if I put it in after the clay pomade, but that’s probably debatable.

Update: 4.5 stars. Great, but a little pricey
For reference: male, hair about 6â in length, medium to thick, wavy.Maybe the changed the cap tip because it works well to get the seal punctured now. The included key is a nice update. If you want the product to apply evenly and easily in wet hair (I would not recommend adding to dry hair, personally), you really need to rub your hands together vigorously to break it down. Then you can gently begin patting/rubbing it onto your hair before working it in with your fingers. It honestly isnât hard to apply and the last thing I want to do when adding product to my hair is rub and tug on my hair fast and hard anyway. Yes, it could go in easier but itâs fine as is. If you hair is longer, add a few drops of water to your hand to get things looser.Scent: smells kind of waxy to me. I can pick up some light herbal and woody smell, but itâs subtle. It wonât interfere with any perfume youâre wearing.Texture: the product itself is more like a paste than a cream. You could say itâs a bit coarse, but once to work it into your hands, it feels similar to many light hold products.Performance: for solidly short hair, I think Iâd take this over their pomade (which I havenât tried). Youâll wind up with a natural finish and enough hold to keep your hair looking good all day. This cream adds just a bit of texture. For more definition and texture, you need to use a lot. That can be painful in your wallet, considering the price. If youâre looking for volume, this will help. It does control frizz pretty well but it isnât perfect. As for hydration, I think your day to day approach to shampooing and conditioning your hair is more important. This product helps, but if youâre stripping your hair of its natural oils by using shampoo daily (especially harsh shampoo), youâre not going to get the desired effect.Value: my hair is about 6â. Iâd say it takes two large pea sized amounts to achieve my styling goals, which means this tube should last as least 6 weeks with daily use. At $30 per tube, it neither amazing nor terrible. That said, if you subscribe on Highlandâs website, you get free shipping and 20% off. That helps keep your spend more sane.Iâve become a repeat customer. I like the product and dig the companyâs goals. Itâs worth a try!

Nice Product, Terrible Packaging
Nice pomade for a light hold. Not greasy and no flaking. Minus 1 star for smell, which is a little off putting. And minus 1 star for the aluminum packaging. I appreciate the environmental thought, but this product is too thick for an aluminum tube. Itâs very hard to expel from the end because the tub just doesnât squeeze. I think an aluminum puck style container would work far better.

Outstanding hair product!
As someone with fine but textured hair (currently medium length), itâs been a struggle to find a product that I truly love. My hair isnât thick, but it also doesnât grow straight, which at times feels challenging to maintain and tame, or even to just manage. Iâve finally found my solution with the glacial cream! What I love most about it is that it works in dry and wet hair. When my hair is dry, I use a quarter sized amount, rub it vigorously into my palms, and then push my hair back. It gives me a light hold, but doesnât look like I have product in my hair, and appears very natural. Iâve also tried it on wet hair, and using the same approach, gave myself a slicked back look that held for the entire day. Huge fan and highly recommend!
