My scalp was severely inflamed after a vacation that consisted of daily swimming in pools, the ocean and keeping my hair damp for hours. Despite using chlorine removal shampoo my scalp had enough. I took out my braids but my scalp was on fire with itching that scratching never satisfied and I had developed a couple painful wet scabs. I tried to wash more frequently and treat with ACV, rosemary oil and regular H&S but it didn’t provide lasting relief or heal the scabs. My scalp was pleading for something else. I came upon Clinical Strength H&S and purchased the shampoo and conditioner bundle. I was familiar with the smell of selenium sulfide as I had to use it when I was a kid in the Rx form. Yes, it’s not a pleasant aroma and is more medicinal but it worked with 2 treatments with washings about 5 days apart.I lifted my scalp with a fine tooth comb. Washed with the shampoo and the conditioner. After my first treatment, I had huge, large dry flakes about 3 days later but there was no itch and my scabs were healing. I lifted the scalp again and washed and this time I had no itching, no dandruff flakes, no scabs!!! I’m about 5 days from my last wash and I’m flake free and itch free. My scalp feels renewed. Btw, as an African American woman with a 4b hair type, I cannot wash my hair daily. It would severely dry out my hair. My scalp is now calm and I can just use this as needed going forward. I am very pleased!!

Actually works
I’ve tried a lot of dandruff remedies in the past. Apple cider vinegar, tar shampoo etc etc. nothing could ever really get rid of my itchy scalp. I use this periodically when I feel things flaring up and no joke I’m good for a week or two, sometimes even longer. It doesn’t smell great but it’s a small price to pay for the results. Also don’t get it in your eye, not joking, burns like crazy.

I LOVE this shampoo and conditioner. I have very thick, curly, 4A-4B hair. It’s long and needs products that have high slip and can moisturize without sitting on my scalp bc I have horrible seb derm, and when I scratch my scalp, it literally just cakes up under my nails. I have to wash my hair once a week or my scalp will go insane. Not with this stuff!! It’s moisturizing and has fantastic lather,m. I personally LOVE the smell. It reminds me of cologne with an ever so slightly medicated scent ( it’s a medicated shampoo, cmon now y’all ) and the conditioner is fantastic. It is the only thing that has gotten the flaking and the scalp scaleyness to go away! I barely even scratch now, no dandruff, no irritation or itching! I wash my hair once a week and i’m all set!! I tried Nizoral and it has NOTHING on this for the same price AND i get a medicated conditioner??? I highly recommend this product! I use it with a shampoo brush for a good deep scrub and I always feel fantastic afterwards, my curls aren’t dry or all separated. 10/10!

Very satisfied with results
I struggled with dandruff before this and tried all sort of different shampoo brands to resolve this issue but nothing truly worked. I started getting frustrated and thought i would give this a try. This did the trick for me and i have stuck with it since. I also use the conditioner as well. If there’s a negative its the initial scent it has, i don’t find it pleasant but after you are finished there are no issues and hair feels soft and no dandruff. I highly recommend it for those who are still struggling with dandruff. Nothing more frustrating but this has worked for me.

Had trouble with my scalp for a really long time and nothing worked until I found Nizarol shampoo so used that for a few years however for some reason it’s really hard to find so the problems started up again my Dr recommended to try this and it really does work and actually better than the Nizarol it’s not cheap at around £14 a bottle but the size is good so it lasts really well and works out cheaper than Nizarol in the long run.This stuff is the best thing I’ve ever used for my scalp and recommend anyone who has scalp problems to try it.
