Sugaring vs. Waxing
Sugar cannot adhere to live skin cells.
This means less discomfort for you and less trauma to your skin. Sugaring does remove dead skin cells – so as the hair is removed, your skin is also getting exfoliated! Wax has been known to remove more than just the hair, since it can adhere directly to live skin cells, which makes waxing more painful and irritating. Wax cannot be applied to an area more than twice at the most.
After care tips
To prevent ingrown hairs, we recommend exfoliating daily and moisturizing. It is very important to exfoliate and hydrate your skin. If you cannot exfoliate daily, we recommend you exfoliate your skin every two to three days to remove dead skin cells and to avoid ingrown hairs. Don’t forget to moisturize your skin and hair follicles to keep them hydrated.

As a beginner, Iâm looking forward to getting better
If you read reviews about peopleâs experience with the product, Iâd recommend keeping level of experience in mind. This is my first attempt – Iâve always gone to a salon. The good – when you get the hang of sugaring itâs easy and effective. I also think itâs less painful than having strips pulled in the opposite direction of hair growth. Super easy clean up and doesnât take much product. The bad – itâs a learning experience! 🙂 I overheated my sugar which resulted in my fetching an ice cube for my finger that I foolishly dipped into the sugar without waiting to see if it was too hot. It takes some practice to get it at the right temperature. Too hot itâs a sticky mess but I found that if I let it cool, I could still flick it. I also used a strip a couple of times and that worked well.Overall – Iâm excited for my next try, well as excited as can be given that itâs still pulling out hair. I expect itâll be much easier to work with the sugar and I definitely will not heat it up much if at all. I notice that thereâs less breakage than when Iâd go to a salon. Iâm also thinking that shorter hair is easier so it wonât require as much regrowth. My recommendation is to watch the video mentioned in the package, check out other YT videos that show sugar consistency, start with small amounts and be patient. Unless youâre experienced, expect some learning curve and practice.Iâll be buying again.

First time self waxing!
I have never done my own waxing/sugaring EVER! Just wanted to get that out of the way. I was debating on weather to buy this item or the similar item that didnât come with wax strips. I settled on this one as a first time try it yourself wax. I have very course hair and deep roots, so I went with this one for my hair type.I watched a few you tube videos and how to do your own body sugaring before I actually tried to do it myself. There is no directions that come the product and you will need to learn how to use it.I tried to use the traditional technique that a professional use but Iâm not a professional. I heated my wax up in 10 seconds increments until it was a little soft and I was able to use. I started off a little rocky but after a couple tryâs I got the hang of it. I ended up doing my entire chin and sideburns. Skin feels like I went in and had it done professionally. This was a great buy and it worked well for me. I will be using it again!

Takes practice
What I liked about this; I enjoy how simple the ingredients are. Non toxic and all that. I didn’t find it any less painful than regular waxing though. I mean, you’re ripping out hairs afterall. That’s gonna hurt. (I also have thick hair so that might play a role into why I find it still painful maybe) I actually preferred using the sticks to spread the paste and flick off. Also, it washes off really easily in the shower. Which is like the most important because this is messy for beginners. What I didn’t like, the strips are good for clean up but that’s about it. The kit came with 3 sticks. Since I found it easier to use that than the strips or by hand that was a bummer. There also wasn’t many strips and it takes serious practice I think to do it by hand. It’s sooooooooo messy by hand. My hands got covered in this stuff. It was all over the place. I watched a bunch of videos and they make it look so easy. Maybe I’m dumb but… It was not easy. I ran out of strips and sticks and almost out of paste and didn’t even get to finish my upper legs. So this kit was a little bit of a bummer..but I suppose a good start.

Probably user error
Iâm no professional so itâs probably on me but I ended up throwing this away. Iâve done waxing at home for over a decade but I couldnât figure out the sugar

Awful!
Iâve had sugaring professionally done at spas. This product is nothing like that. When I opened it, all of the product was stuck to the top of the sealed lid. I tried taking the paper off and followed the instructions anyway, thinking it would get better. It didnât. I microwaved for the instructed time and followed directions from the company. It was a total mess. The consistency is NOTHING like sugaring. Itâs basically a wax.

5 stars x10!
First of all, the product came quicker than expected. A+ for that. This was my first day ever using sugar wax and i am sold. I will never use hard wax, razors, or nair again in my life. After trial and error i prefer the flicking method over the strip method. I started with the strip mwthod but couod not find the right consistency to heat the wac because it was really sticky when trying to rip the strip off and it hurted a bit. The flicking method worked perfectly for me and DID NOT HURT AT ALL. And the hair is completely removed from thr follicle. This was my first day so i will have to perfect the flicking method. Also, the product is easy to wash off of your skin with just water or even baby oil.
