    Works good
I needed a good brush for my toddler who has long, thick, straight hair. I would brush her hair and there was always lumps or flyaway hair that was irking me. This brush grabbed all her hair perfectly with no lumps and I was able to put her hair up with little time. Bristles were nice and stiff and the brush fits nice in my hand. It looks like a plastic brown brush but I don’t care so much able the look of it. Only that it works and I like it. I have thick curly hair and this brush handles my hair as well.

    Well made
Love the brush. Well made and bristles are easy to clean. I brought 3 of them. One per child.

Goody Styler vs Scalpmaster Nylon Bristle Salon Contour
The Goody styler brush wins. It is a little bit shorter than Scalpmaster but it is still long enough at 7 inches. Is it boar? No it is nylon, but I prefer not to use animals for some products like this. Is it real wood? No, but the plastic wood grain may be more comfortable than some real wooden handles. Is it as good as the old Goody brushes that we used to pick up at the grocery/drug store? No. Quality has declined over the years in many products. But it is almost as good. Some reviewers complain that the nylon bristles are too hard on their head. But the nylon bristles seem to be the same hardness as all my hairbrushes of this style over the past 15 years. Why is it better than ScalpMaster? I know that these are two slightly different styles of brushes but I can’t find a ScalpMaster that is the same style as the Goody. The bristle bunches in the ScalpMaster brush are too far apart so that when I brush my hair it barely moves my hair. Whereas with the Goody brush when I brush through my hair it grabs my hair and styles it. I am a man that cuts my hair every 1 to 2 months with hair length of .5 inches to 4 inches during that time period. The Goody brush works good for my hair at all those lengths. The other problem with the ScalpMaster is that some of the bristle bunches go out too far on the sides, so when I try to do touch up styling the different positions of the bristles grab the wrong hairs that I am not trying to brush at the time and miss some of the hairs that I am trying to brush. I don’t have that problem with the Goody styler.

Very hard bristles but the brush works well
This is the closest match I could find to a goody hair brush which I had for about 25 years. Yeah I got my money’s worth out of that one. I had one in my car and one in my bathroom. The one in my car snapped while I was brushing my hair. Why I went in and looked at the one in the bathroom I put some pressure on it bending it and it snapped in half. I guess they’ve taken a lot of abuse over the years. So I bought this since it looked just like the one I had. But the bristle is a lot harder probably it’s made cheaper. I do like it better than a softer bristle goodie brush I bought although don’t be in too much of a hurry to brush your hair because it can hurt!

    perfect for me
I’ve always bought this brush and I’m glad that I can still get it. It is perfect for me. It fits right in my hand, it brushes through my thick hair with no problem not too soft and not hard plastic, and no fancy twists, turns, nor other things to detract from it’s purpose.

Good but not as Goody as before
I have an old Goody hairbrush that’s almost exactly like this new one that is probably over 20 years old. It has lost almost all it’s bristles on the outside rows, so it was overdue to replace. I thought this would be just like my old Goody brush but as with most things nowadays it’s a cheaper version. The handle, especially is just doesn’t fit your hand as well because it’s thinner, lighter and feels cheap like you wouldn’t want to put too much pressure on it. The bristles do the job but just not nearly as nice to use as the old one. I’ll probably keep using the old one until most off the bristles fall out. lol I’d have happily paid a little more to get better quality.

    Very stuff bristles
I wanted a brush with strong enough bristles to put up a ponytail- and this definitely does! They are very stiff. Not a big brush – so nice for travel.

    Great price, quality and performance.
This brush is a great price and is built well. As the saying goes, ” You get what you pay for “. With this brush, you get MORE than what you pay for. I personally have no complaints. I am sure I will be using it for many years. Remember this is not a high end brush, it gets the job done though. If you have a sensitive scalp, you may wish to find something softer. Thanks!

My wife passed away, and with myself and two sons left at home now, we lack direction and knowledge of the little things. :(The bathroom hair brush broke after many years of service. it was thrown out and a, soft bristle ‘girls’ hair brush left behind just didn’t work on our hair!I remembered my wife and even my mother, saying “Goody” is the brand they prefeed, so I went online and found one that looked the same and was reasonably priced!it’s exactly like the old one, this is a stiff bristle hair brush, gets tangles out, quickly and easily with today’s longer men’s hairstyles. It’s nice to see the quality and consistency, being maintained in a product, after so many years..Best hair brush, highly recommended! 🙂

No es verdad como lo describen. Las cerdas de plástico no son tan duras y son muy pequeñas. NO vale la pena la compra.

I am a man and have been using this brand and type of brush for over 30 years. I believe this is my third one, a pretty good average lifespan for any product today. I especially like that it is stiff and really sets the hair back in place and it is not too wide, lending it to easy positioning across the scalp. But it is not so stiff, like a comb, that scrapes away the scalp. You cannot beat the price and quality of this brush. I have no trouble recommending it.
