These are really good for anything that you want to get a thin bead line. They are very long though. Look smaller than they are.

Great for detailing texture
I really like to used these for filling glaze in to texture and stamps. Havenât got the hang of writing with them yet but Iâm sure I will. Much easier to use than a standard glaze squeeze bottle.

These are the best way Iâve found to add detail when underglazing. I carve out the design then fill in the carved lines with the underglaze but Iâve also used it without carving and just free handing it and both ways work great with these things

Really great product, especially for gold acrylic paint.
I love these a lot. I saw in an online recommendation to put âFolk Artâs Metallic Gold Finish Acrylic Paintâ into the bottle in order to paint thin gold lines. Its been perfect every time and I love it a lot. I can say though that when using acrylic, sometimes the tip will occasionally dry up a bit and youâll need to either squeeze the bottle to get it out, or poke the dried bits out with a needle on the other side. Always keep the bottle closed. The cap has a needle that goes into the syringe to keep the paint wet which is also great. Sometimes it takes getting used to when squeezing because you can squeeze too much paint out and it gets goopy. Test it on another piece of paper before applying. Really great purchase that I continue to recommend and use often!

Very fine tip, great paint applicator for fine details
Worked great to write words on tshirts. Itâs a very fine tip which also has a lid w/a pin which prevents paint drying in the needle.It is easy to use, but for extended use requires finger strength -not a very ergonomic s design. We made 7 fairly detailed shirts and the pressure needed to squeeze the paint out resulted in sore hands which is why I took away 1 star.Iâd still use, but may add something on the outside to help w/the pressure needed.

Perfect for Ceramic Underglazes
I LOVE these liners! I use them to create extremely fine lines using underglazes. They don’t get clogged because of the pin in the lid, and the tube plastic is not thick so it’s easy to squeeze. The nibs are removeable for cleaning and also for changing guages if you other tip sizes you would like to use.

Itâs all about blob control
Not marvelous but not terrible tool. Must learn blob control! Pros: Tube holds a lot of paint so most likely wonât need to refill during a project. You can leave paint in the pan without it drying out as long as itâs well-capped. The needle in the Keeps the name from clogging when not in use. Reasonably easy to squeeze. The needle in the cap fits into smaller size needles down to about 21gage. Air tight and doesnât leak when capped. I am using it with gold paint that tends to settle out and Paint is visible enough through the plastic to tell if it is well suspended. Swapping nibs is easy to do.Cons: Each line always starts with a blob. The tube holds a lot of paint in the bottle but gravity and temperature of air/paint inside the pen pushes a blob out each time you set the tip down (adjusting the consistency of the paint for reducing surface tension doesnât seem to make much difference – however, the bigger the nib gage the bigger the blob). When the bottle gets less full, or the temperature of your hand heats the air or paint in the pen, it pushes out a bigger blob of paint when you touch down; so roll it in your hands often to stabilize the temperature of the air and paint (donât shake paint or youâll get air bubbles that blow out of the tip and make a mess). Let the air into the pen often to reduce vacuum, temperature change, and gravity pressure equalization and put the Needle through the tip each time you do so that it opens air bubbles at the nib-bottle interface, tip the bottle as you do to keep the paint against it, and dab that first blob to get a smaller blob when you touchdown. The nib that it comes with is quite long to control easily for writing and artwork, so youâll probably want to buy a box of replacement nibs that are shorter (half-inch). One of the bottles I received has a cleaning needle that was to the side up in the cap. I can still make it work, but I wasnât impressed with their assembly quality control.

I use a lot of these 18 gauge needle applicators
The 18 gauge can clog with acrylic paint fairly easily. I then soak them in Windex, then use a long pin and also wire from hardware store to open the clogs. Not a problem for meâitâs somehow rewarding. I have tried other less expensive applicator needles, but these have worked out the best so far. I use them to draw fine lines of paint. Fun.
