This actually works! I have always struggled with deep blackheads and getting them cleared is always very traumatizing to the skin, this is so much better and works so well especially in the shower. My suggestion is run a hot shower and soak for a few minutes before trying it as it helps to loosen the pores and makes clearing skin a breeze! highly recommend.

I did notice that some reviews mentioned that this tool does not work and Iâd like to explain how to use it well so that it does work for you. In ancient Greece, people used a similar scraping tool to clean their bodies. They first applied oil to the skin, then scraped it off. We know that oil breaks down our body oil and helps to remove dirt. It also softens dead skin and lubricates the surface. I recommend first soaking in the tub, then rubbing your body with oil before using this exfoliation tool. Be prepared to clean your tub after! Youâll be shocked how much gunk youâll remove!

Good but not a miracle
I had pretty high expectations for this product, based on a few articles and reviews I had read. While this product didn’t turn out to be a miracle, it still serves its purpose well. I find it doesn’t make much of a difference on most of my body, except my face and feet. I love using is instead of a pumice stone (honestly it works way better), and my rough feet were drastically softer after a couple days. My face also seems a little less dull after I use it, but its important to be gentle or you’ll just hurt your skin. I learned that the hard way (;

Cumulative, noticeable results!
I have been using both exfoliators (face and body) from Exfolimate for about a month and a half now, and I have to say – I’m very pleased with the results! I have worked in the beauty industry for a loooong time, and so I knew when I bought this item that it was not going to be similar to shaving with a razor, nor that it would be similar to getting dermaplaning. It is, however, somewhere in between the two. Ideally, you want to hold the exfoliator so that the edge of the metal “blade” (it is not sharp at all) is at a 90 degree angle to the skin while showering or at least on damp skin. You can use it before or after applying soap/cleanser. I like to soap up first, then use the exfoliator, rinse off, and then use a light scrub or loofah…because I’m a bit of a perfectionist and OCD when it comes to getting clean. The first time I used the products, I had to be super gentle with the face exfoliator because I had quite a breakout (adult acne) going on – but I noticed afterwards that my skin was slightly smoother and seemed to absorb my serums and moisturizers better. I shower daily and use both exfoliators daily, and what I will say is this: if you are using a motorized facial and/or body cleansing brush, such as the Clarisonic daily, you can get away with using the Exfolimate exfoliators every other day. I use them everyday, with my Clarisonic. After the first week of consistent use is when I really noticed a huge difference in the softness and ‘radiance’ of my skin. These exfoliators are amazing! My skin is super soft, breakouts on my face are way less frequent, my moisturizers and serums absorb quicker which means I can use less, and the hair follicles/pores on my legs and my face have diminished! I love these exfoliators! (I just wish they were a tad less expensive…)

Don’t get this one! I bought so I would have one for me and ine for my daughter BUT the single package exfolimate is a newer design and actually works. These ones were so dull they only pick up a tiny bit of dead skin and oil. And ONLY if you have a lot of it and do it in ideal conditions (long hot bath with oils). I have pictured the large one from this package first…barely picked up anything with multiple passes (see thumbnail where I scrape the gunk off the scraper to see amount it gets) the newer version is much sharper but still a rounded shape so it’s safe. Before I had been using a blade from my kitchen shears whicheorks amazingly well but is a bit too effective leaving my skin feeling kinda like a sunburn. The scissor blade also is really hard to get rounded nooks and cranies. I’ve cut myself on it multiple times so it’s not ideal. The newer version of exfolimate is sharp enough to actually pull off the gunk and rounded enough yo use all over your whole body safely.

I bought this because a previous buyer said it helped with her keratosis pilaris. After 1 use I noticed a huge improvement! I have been looking for a solution to my bumpy dry skin on my arms for 30 years and have tried countless lotions but this is the first thing to ever make a difference. I find it works best if you apply a little coconut oil first. Amazed at how such a simple tool can work so well! Also used on other dry areas that the loffah and dry brush never helped and it worked wonders! Definitly recommend!Update sept 2018. Still works awesome using once a week.

This did not do any exfoliating. You’re better off using a dry brush or a body scrub. Even a wet washcloth does a better job.
