Surprisingly effective
I bought this for my huge tonsil stones. This time of year is always the worst and I feel like I have already tried a dozen mouthwashes without much luck. I was really concerned that it would trigger my sensitive gag reflex, but thankfully it didn’t. I was shocked by how many of those sucker’s were back there. It’s very easy to use and the removal itself isn’t painful.

This vacuum has a very nice assortment of silicone tools and lots of power adjustment.
This is a nice tool with a lot of different attachments. It came partly charged, so it passes my first test for lithium battery powered items. That they must not self discharge. This is important since A; it won’t work when you need it, and B; it will likely have a short battery life or a damaged cell.The device has three buttons. Power, Mode, and Light. I was somewhat caught off guard when I first adjusted the power levels using the mode button. It starts off on low, with the lowest bar (in a wifi indicator style) lit. Pressing the mode button again moves one bar up and the motor speeds up a bit. This continued to the last and largest bar, where the motor speed fell to an extremely slow speed. I thought perhaps it was programmed wrong, but before making assumptions I RTFM. There, I discovered that this top setting is a fully dynamic one where you can smoothly adjust the speed from a super slow to a super fast by holding the mode button down after it is selected. Let go of the mode button to have it stick right at the speed it was when you let go.This setting is forgotten if you cycle modes.I didn’t expect the convex magnifying mirror, pretty cool that it’s included. You also get a curved syringe and a tongue suppressor. I do recommend either sanding the edges of the tongue tool or discarding it. It is stamped steel and one side is quite sharp. I tried carefully to use it and did cut my gums slightly even when I was well aware of it. Definitely don’t use it as it is, but this is a free extra in my view and not something I will dock a star for.All of the other components are good, and I especially like the fluid capture cup to prevent any materials getting sucked into the pump. It is O-ring sealed and splits in half for easy rinsing. Said cup only hold into the tool with a slight bit of friction, so when you have the relatively heavy silicone tip on it it can come flying out if you set the tool down quickly or swing it around.I don’t have any tonsil stones but I gave it a try to see how it worked. I found that I prefer the curved and flat blunt tips most. I however have too strong of a gag reflex and would have to carefully take breaks from it to build a tolerance. This is something to be aware of. The feeling of suction pulling at you there is likely a new experience, and my body was very reactive to it. Try it on a low speed first.I will likely use the pump itself a lot for vacuuming my food storage containers, as it is quiet and powerful. Much better than the pump that came with my storage containers.

Works but takes some getting used to
This device works beautifully – better than anything I’ve tried before. I’ve had tonsil stones all my life and HATE them (seriously though, who doesn’t?!?) and this definitely makes getting rid of them so much easier. It sucks them up and gets all of it away, nothing visible left over. It also gets the deeper ones that I can see but not really retrieve with my other tools.That said, I wish I had a third hand, it would make using this so much easier. That’s because I need one hand to shine a light, one hand to move any loose skin back enough to see my tonsils, and one hand to hold the device. It’s really impossible to see anything without a light, and so I had to jury-rig something onto my mirror. It works, but it’s not ideal. I’ll keep tweaking for a better setup but for now this works for me.
