Barefooter here. Winter and thick callouses aren’t good. Heels crack. Can’t stand lotioning feet and wearing a sock. These things leave toes open so still have the comfort of bare feet. Took about 3 days for crack down to open skin to close and heal. With it healed will still wear to bed to keep them in good shape.Work by trapping moisture (IMO), so have noticed the silicone smelling like old gym socks. Think the essential oils mentioned in the product decription is to help mask foot odor. No worry, just wash and use other pair. Haven’t smelled that since high school 50 years ago. LOL.Good product

These are very innovative socks for cracked heels! I’ve been having dry cracked heels lately and putting cream on then cotton socks on isn’t always ideal especially in the summer when I want to wear flip flops. These socks are so smart! My toes are free while my heels are protected!The socks are comfy, has a gel lining on the heel. It’s very comfy to walk in the socks if you don’t have any cream/ointment on your heels. Otherwise it will be slippery.I was using an ointment for cracked heels and it took me full 7 days to see the results gradually. Not 1 day like they show on the package. I was also consistent with the ointment by applying it 2 times a day and keeping my socks on all day/night. Only taking a break for showers.So if you have badly cracked heels, be consistent and patient. It will take some time to see the results.

However, the socks became too tight for my friends foot and making a deep mark around the bottom and top of the sock. I can no longer have him put them on and as far as the other gel socks, I will try them later after the holidays.

Love reading the reviews where people are throwing these in the wash. They have a natural gel in it so hand wash, they are made of a great quality. They work amazing and I am using them overnight with huge differences. Plus they snug your feet nicely.I am ladies 7 and they fit good but think if you had drastically larger feet they would be a tight.
