Love the Smell and the Protection
Recently I noticed that my Secret for women underarm deodorant was not working as effectively as it used to. How did I know? Well…when washing my shirts, the pit stains and lingering odor was my first clue and second clue. I have heard that you can develop a “resistance” to products over time, or maybe it was due to hormone changes? Who knows? All I knew was that I had to fix this situation. The high ratings and reviews for this product motivated me to order the Dove Clinical Protection.Here is my take:1. Moisture Reduction: Excellent sweat reduction. I have noticed that the moisture marks on my darker shirts is much less than before. Note: I live in Arizona, and it is already 110 degrees and higher here. So my test in this regard was under extreme conditions and the results are all the more impressive.2. Smell Reduction: Excellent results– Even after a long day, there are no body odors that are noticeable, and even at the end of the day, you can still smell the light fragrance, which is very appealing3. Chalky Marks on Clothes: Great results here–I used to struggle with white chalky marks on the bottom of my shirts when I put on my clothes after applying the deodorant. This does not happen with Dove Clinical Protection. And there does not appear to be a residue on the inside seam line of my armpits. I really appreciate that change!4. Cost: The cost seems high to me, and the amount of product in the container seems low. When you first receive the new dispenser, you have to turn the bottom dial until the creamy deodorant is pushed enough through the holes in the applicator cap. You have to turn the dial pretty far before the first amount is at the top…I estimate that it is less than half full. And for me, the amount that I dispense to cover both armpits seems to be depleting the container quickly. My estimate at this point is that one container may last for 3 weeks, but probably not longer. At almost $7.00 per container, this might get expensive for one person.Bottom Line: Love the performance, but dislike the small amount in the container and the higher price. You have to decide if your need for this high quality product is worth the cost. Right now, my answer is YES– and I ordered 4 more to have them on hand.

Keeps me dry and smelling good
I am a sweater and this works! I’m also super sensitive to many deodorants especially natural ones and will get a rash. That’s never the case with this (although not all natural). Keeps me fresh for extended time and definitely high quality. Been using for years now and will continue for many more!

Why choose clinical:I’m in my 40s now but have struggled with sweaty underarms since I was a child which lead to some serious insecurities and embarrassment. My mother used to buy me different kinds of deodorants in the hopes that one would be more effective than the other, and while there were some that worked better than others, nothing truly helped much. When I first saw and tried clinical deodorant over 10 or so years ago, I figured it was worth a shot. I haven’t used anything else since. I wish they had this around when I was going through puberty but better late than never!Directions:The directions state to apply it af night after showering hit so far as I can tell, it makes no difference if you use it in the morning or if you haven’t showered that day. It typically lasts at least 24 hours but I don’t test it beyond that.Brand compared to the other 2 big brands:Dove is as good as the brand name that rhymes with agree, but the brand synonymous with shhhhh has always seemed slightly more effective. However, it’s not so much more effective that it’s worth the additional cost, so I end up buying whichever of the 3 brands is cheapest at the moment I need to buy it. If I see any of them running a promotion or see a pride drop, I usually stock up on it.Scent:The powder scent is not my favorite but I do like the cucumber one, or whatever they’re labeling the green one these days.Helpful tip to use less product:It feels like you get a small amount compared to the non-clinical deodorants. That said, turning the dial once then wiping it up and down one pit will mean you need to turn the dial a second time for the second pit because you’ve just rubbed off all the product onto that one side. If you instead turn the dial then gently dab the product under both sides first before then going back to swipe up and down on both sides, you only have to use one click’s worth of product instead of two since that minimal amount is as effective as using twice as much on both sides.

The bottle has been completely emptied out with the foil very loosely placed on top!!!
