Broke On First Use
This brush doesn’t hold up in black women’s hair. It may work for finer hair. I use Conair brushes which I don’t have a problem with. I just wanted to try something different, since this one suppose to make removing hair easier. Sounded good on paper. I was skeptical when I first grabbed it to brush. Why is the handle hollow? That’s not a good sign. Just seconds into brushing it breaks. I couldn’t figure out how to put it back together, so will trash it. I will not be buying these type of brushes again. It doesn’t have the sturdiness for my texture of hair.

Will be Great for Travel
I recommend. I bought this brush for travel. I haven’t left for my trip yet but have used it (needed to test it before leaving my usual round brush at home!). This brush works very well. It did take about ten or so attempts to get the bristles locked in the extended position. First, the mechanism wouldn’t catch, then it did but just touching the bristles made them collapse. Eventually the mechanism caught securely and I haven’t had any problem with it since. I would like a version of this brush with a shorter handle to be even more packing efficient — but keep the extended brush section the same diameter, please!

One of the brushes I ordered came in a torn up box and some hair was found on the brush. It appears that someone apparently returned it. It’s pretty disgusting. The other two were fine. I don’t feel good about giving this as a gift as it was intended. Not sure what to do with this.
