Definitely brings much hoped-for relief!
I’ve suffered with moderate psoriasis of the scalp for most of my 57 years! I’ve been to dermatologists for years and have received all kinds of topical meds for the condition. The latest treatment I’ve undergone is the X-Trac treatment. This treatment consists of targeted light therapy in a doctor’s office. The problem is you must constantly go for these treatments for best results. At first, you must qualify for the treatments. The dermatologist offering the treatment (not every one does; mine doesn’t) must verify through the company that produces the X-Trac procedure that you’ve been under long-term care for the condition either with them or another dermatologist. You wait approximately 48 hours to see if you’re qualified to receive the treatment, and if you are, then you set up your first appointment and pay with each visit whatever your specialist co-pay amount is. After so many treatments and you’re in it for so much money, they reimburse you (I got $300.00 back) and then the rest of the treatments are free. Best case scenario is the condition goes into remission. Remission, if it occurs, can be months, weeks, or days. Then you must start up again. If you have your doctor sign you off the treatment after remission and then experience a flare-up and have to resume treatments, you’ll have to go through the entire qualifying/payment process again, so it’s best not to let the doctor sign you off too soon in case you experience a flare-up….the entire process is a vicious cycle. For me, this is an impossible schedule to keep. I would have to travel 20 minutes through town at least twice a week, pay $2.00 each time to park, and navigate my way through a crowded parking lot garage and hospital for what amounts to not much relief. One evening, following a treatment, I decided out of curiosity to browse through psoriasis treatment options on Amazon and found Dermarest. I figured it was worth a try; I’d tried everything else. This topical is a clear gel with no real scent. At first there is a noticeable decline in itch. Then I noticed that instead of the fine scales scratching would produce, there appeared something akin to a slight peeling which eventually disappeared. There was no discomfort or redness with this reaction and I believe that it was due to the loosening of the scales and not actual peeling. My scalp feels hydrated and because the itch isn’t present, I don’t think of scratching which had been becoming a habit, itch or not, as I’d been doing it for so long. I can feel a real reduction in the scaling which has me thrilled! The gel doesn’t affect my hair as far as making it greasy and there’s no medicinal odor. And to think that this cutting-edge X-Trac treatment didn’t do what the Dermarest did….perhaps if I’d gone as often as was recommended, the X-Trac would’ve worked, but I just couldn’t keep up with that schedule! If you have severe psoriasis, maybe Dermarest might not be enough; it still would be a terrific product to use, though, in conjunction with other prescribed methods of treatment. For someone like me, with slight to moderate chronic psoriasis prone to flare-ups, Dermarest fits the bill. Although Dermarest is no cure (as anyone reading this knows there is no cure for psoriasis!), I highly recommend this wonderful product in keeping this nasty condition under control. I haven’t had this much relief, even with prescribed meds, in…..forever!

Genuinely effective
Iâve been trying and researching a lot in terms of things effective for shebboric dermatitis. This is the most affective thing Iâve found. Iâd say equal to of not better than my medicated shampoo. It doesnât do me any favors for the appearance of my hair itself as itâs more clarifying, but it brings some much needed relief to my sscalp. Not paid ad- genuine. Good quality

No more itchy scalp
My daughter suggested this, and it works. I was having a lot of itchy scalp areas with Head and Shoulders just after my shampoo! I lather up with head and shoulders 1st and my second lather is with this and I let it sit about 5 minutes then condition and rinse. I go about 4 days without an itchy scalp! Yeah! I rinse and condition about every 3 days so this is perfect! I wash my hair once a week unless I wear it no protected in a afro.

It WORKS!
I have 2C curls and color-treated hair. This stuff REALLY breaks down the gunk buildup on my scalp. I have eczema and seborrheic dermatitis and have awful reactions to regular hair products. It itches like crazy, and before I know it, there are scabs and dried blood built up on my scalp. Ok, enough about the nasty. That was to give you an idea of how bad it can get.In the shower, I focus mostly on lathering up the scalp. This shampoo can be quite drying, so I try to avoid running it through the ends of my hair.It slightly “conditions” which should really only be considered “detangling”, because there is nothing about this product that makes your hair luscious. It’s good enough to run a comb through when you’re done washing your hair, and fairly soft, but you aren’t going to see this product reduce frizz and breakage or add a lovely shine. Additional products for those things should be focused on the ends and stay far away from the scalp. I swear, managing scalp conditions is a torturous affair for those with dry, curly hair. There’s no real scent to speak of. It truly is unscented. I keep trying other products (I’m obsessed with finding a scalp-safe product that leaves my hair with a lovely fragrance), but I just keep coming back to this unscented shampoo because it REALLY WORKS. It breaks down the buildup and zaps the itch within 2-3 uses.I hope this helps! I strongly recommend this shampoo. It has been a game-changer for my mostly black wardrobe and my bed pillows. I just wish I could find more scalp-safe products for enhancing curls.

Donât waste your money.
This shampoo did nothing for my hair/scalp. Doesnât smell good or bad. Doesnât make your hair soft. It laters real good but thatâs about it.

I was helped immediately!
I like this sudsy shampoo! It lathered quickly and well. I left it on my hair 5 minutes. Due to the excellent lathering, there was very little dripping as I waited for it to work. After thoroughly rinsing my hair, I thought it had a coarse texture, but I was mistaken. It left my hair clean, soft, and easy to comb through. My scalp feels very clean without itching or dryness, just normal!

Amazing shampoo and conditioner for psoriasis
Texture is lightweight on scalp, feels like a face cleansing foam. No fragrance, very nice conditioning effect that I donât have to apply any mask or conditioner at all. Just make sure to leave it for 5-10 minutes to work on your scalp. Usually, regular shampoos felt like I have a thin residue layer on my scalp after washing but with this one I have none. Not sure if this shampoo helps with scaling unless you are prescribed topical corticosteroid for scalp. But I do like this shampoo more than regular shampoos for sure.
