PRE AND POST WAX TREATMENTS

Removes any traces of oils, make-up, and perspiration from the skin’s surface to prepare the skin before waxing

PRE-WAXING

1. Hair should be about 1/4 inches long.

2. Be sure to sanitize your hands prior to any service.

3. Remove cap and plastic disc from the wax jar. Place jar at the center of a microwave-safe plate.

4. Heat for 30 seconds on a high setting. Carefully break the surface of the wax with a large applicator. Reheat in 15-second increments until you can stir the wax so it takes on a thick/caramel-like consistency.

5. Remove the jar from the microwave carefully using the handle.

6. Cleanse the area to be epilated with Cleanse Pre-Wax Cleanser.

8. Test wax temperature on the backside of your wrist before waxing.

DURING WAXING

1. Cleanse and prep the area to be epilated.

2. Holding the applicator at a 45 degree angle, apply a thick layer of wax in the direction of hair growth.

3. Allow wax to cool on skin for 10-15 seconds until it becomes soft and pliable.

4. Place the wax strip over the wax and rub the strip firmly in the direction of hair growth.

5. Hold the skin taut and pull the wax strip off in one quick motion in the opposite direction of hair growth.

6. Immediately apply firm pressure to the epilated area with the cushions of your fingers to calm skin.

POST WAXING

1. To remove waxy residue from the skin after waxing, use Remove Post-Wax Remover.

2. Apply Soothe Aloe Vera Gel to soothe the area. It contains Aloe Vera and Allantoin, which are naturally soothing and have anti-inflammatory properties. This will help reduce redness and irritation.

3. Apply Restore Shea Butter Lotion to nourish the skin after treatment. Just remember less is best when it comes to stimulation to the skin and amount of product used.

MAINTENANCE

1. No hot baths for the remainder of the day as hot water can sip into open hair follicle and cause irritation.

2. No tanning bed sessions for up to 48 hours.

3. After 48 hours, it is recommended to exfoliate skin to help prevent ingrown hairs.

Important for Women: Do not schedule your waxing session 3 days before your period since skin tends to be the most sensitive during time.
