REDESIGNED – to fit your hand even more comfortably. ERGONOMIC HANDLE is specifically contoured to the shape of your hand, making product application a breeze! The new design helps to reduce hand fatigue and decrease application time.
CIRCLE SHAPE FITS IN WAX CONTAINERS – We’ve only seen a couple of other cutting board oil applicators and they are square, yet ALL wax containers are circular…weird. (Still MADE IN USA!)
APPLIES SMOOTH CONSISTENT FINISH – with longer lasting results. When you’re putting quality wax or oil on a cutting board, you need a stiffer sponge to get an even application. This makes the whole process easier and less time consuming.
LESS WASTE – Instead of throwing out paper or cloth towels with wax left on them, you can simply put applicator in a re-sealable plastic bag and use it again next time, perfect oil and conditioner applicator for butcher blocks and cutting boards.
CLARK’S GUARANTEE: Enjoy peace of mind with Clark’s commitment to excellence. Our Premium Maple Cutting Boards for kitchen offer ergonomic ease and convenient storage for a seamless cooking adventure.

    Works well. Good quality.
I’ve only used it once so far, but it’s great at spreading the oil around on my bamboo cooking tools!

Not for hard paste wax, but very comfortable in the hand
I loved the very comfortable handle. It fits well in the hand and feels good enough that I think I could use it for a long time at a stretch. My problem is that before I purchased, I posted a question specifically asking if this applicator would work with a hard paste wax like Minwax. Among the replies I received was one from the seller saying it would. Here is their exact answer: “Yes this applicator would work for paste wax as well. The foam is very durable and should last you for a long time.” The problem is that the foam is too soft to rub against the wax and have the wax adhere. I am doing this project indoors, so the wax is at room temperature. It’s just that Minwax is hard! When the seller contacted me about the purchase and wanted to know if it was comfortable, I answered that it was, but that I was not happy that it didn’t work with Minwax, as they had told me it would. They did offer a suggestion about putting a towel in boiling water and then wrapping it around the can of Minwax to soften it a bit. While I can understand how that might work, I’m not sure how I would safely wring out a towel that’s been in boiling water. It also sounds a bit messy.I give high marks (five stars) to the ergonomic comfort of the handle and to the prompt and courteous reply from the seller. But it just isn’t suitable for use with the specific product I inquired about and so ease of use must get only one star. I do think it would work very well with a softer wax and if there was a rating for answers from the seller to questions about the product, I’d need to give it only one star because the answer provided me was inaccurate.UPDATE: After posting the above review the seller contacted me to apologize. The applicator has been used with a hard paste, but not Minwax. There was no intent to mislead me and the seller apologized and refunded my purchase price. In m opinion, that is excellent customer service. The seller has been prompt in responding, always courteous, and with the refund of the purchase price, definitely committed to standing behind the product. I will repeat that I found the applicator to be very comfortable to hold and easy to grasp. I am sorry it doesn’t work with Minwax. With such great customer service and the wonderful comfort of the applicator, I have amended my review to 5 stars overall.

    Handy Applicator for Beeswax Paste
I used this applicator to apply the beeswax paste to some painted wood furniture. It worked well and made the application process easy and mess-free. The only reason it’s not a full 5 stars is that it could be a bit more durable. Overall, a handy tool for applying wood finishes. Maybe the paint texture was the issue but overall a great product.

Tried other products, this works best.
I bought this applicator and it worked so good I wore it out. Thought i could replace it with a cheaper product. I got one cheaper but it wasn’t nearly as good. Brushes aren’t good with mineral or tung oil. This thing spreads oil so well I can’t praise it enough! In the end I bought the New version and it works even better. The new design makes it quicker to do the job with no waste at all. They came it with a better fit that increases your speed covering surfaces with such ease. I’m sticking with these products, because the pads work great too. Tried a different model with those and same thing happened. the Clark products work the best. Your cutting boards look amazing, not a wasted or spilled drop of oil and the work on knife handles as well. Don’t waste your money experimenting with other products, stick with Clark’s because they are the BEST! I proved it myself on 5 bamboo boards and 4 Japanese cooking knives.Paul J. FrontieroOh, don’t forget the wax too. A combination of 2 waxes that seal the oil in and leaves a beautiful shine and fragrant smell.

    Second one I’ve owned
Second one of these I’ve owned. The first one lasted nearly 10 years before the sponge like applicator started to fall apart. This is an excellent tool for applying mineral oil to a wood cutting board. I just put some mineral oil directly on the board and use this to spread it around evenly and to apply it to the edges. Let the oil soak in over night and then wipe any excess off in the morning. It’s an awesome little tool.

Fits the Clark’s wax tub perfectly and applies wax to your board very well
When I first invested in a really, really good (and expensive) (and large) Boos Block cutting board, I went with the Boos Mystery Oil and Board Cream (wax). The oil was great, but the board wax was in a squeeze tube and I always ended up applying way too much wax to the board, leaving a super thick layer overnight, and removing the excess the next day with at least 12 paper towels.I then tried out the Clark’s wax and applicator. The applicator makes applying a nice thin even layer of wax to the board SUPER quick and easy with almost no wasted product. The applicator is the perfect size to apply some wax from the small plastic tub of Clark’s wax, and glides effortlessly over the cutting board. One small tub of Clark’s wax will easily last me over a year or two because there’s almost zero excess wasted product using the applicator.I store the applicator and wax in a small ziploc baggie in between monthly board maintenance. Highly recommend this if you take care of your cutting boards/blocks!

Previously I was soaking wood products in oil which is time and space consuming as well as wasteful from spillage. With an order for 100 cutting boards I was looking for a better way and found this brush. It works perfectly. I can coat several boards at once with a lot of waste. Very pleased
