Customers say
Customers appreciate the tweezers’ well-made construction, functionality, and accuracy. They find the tips strong and the taper at the end makes them easy to grip. The tweezers work great for what they’re made for and are compact and easy to carry. Many customers like the splinter removal ability. However, some have mixed opinions on the overall quality, size, value for money, and tip size.

Perfect for glochids (small cactus spines)
I grow a lot of cacti, and some of them, Opuntioideaes (cacti with “pads”) have areola packed with very, very small, barbed glochids. All of this is a fancy way to say, these little dudes are monsters. They go through leather gloves. They stick to anything that brushes up against them. They are like a stinging nettle or jellyfish. They take weeks to come off. And they hurt!Enter CIVIVI tweezers. I have not found a set of tweezers that can reliably grasp the glochids stuck into my skin and have the grip to pull the little, barbed suckers out of my flesh.. They all have a gap that won’t grasp these devil’s teeth. The CIVIVI tweezers are a fine-tipped, precision tool. They are able to grasp even the smallest spine, the ones that can only be seen in direct sunlight looking across the landscape surface of the flesh. These tweezers are exactly what I’ve been looking for for months. The tweezers are incredibly well made. These aren’t little works of art that must be babied like a jewler’s tool. They are made of robust metal. The tweezers themselves retract into a sheath that is stout. I can carry these on a key ring while working in the garden, no problem.Note, the points of the tweezers are fine and sharp enough to pierce skin. The will be great for removing splinters. They are also something you do not want kids playing with. Really, for those who are not careful, the tweezers are a puncture wound waiting to happen. They are stout and sharp. In the right hands, they are tweezer miracles. In the wrong hands, user beware.

Solid build but smaller than I realized
I cannot attest to its durability yet however at face value its really nice! It is about the length of a finger while closed and a little under double that open. Perfectly square and the width of a house key. Comfortable weight and feels very solid. The tips are very sharp and the contact point is needle small however if you manage to pinch whatever youre going for its not letting go. Screw lock is a little stiff on the first go but after you work it a couple times its buttery smooth to lock it closed/open. The split ring feels like its quality metal but in practice it feels kindof dinky and the same goes for the pleather sleeve. Honestly could omit those and include a slightly larger ring of the same quality or hell even a sticker and I would be happer but we do not buy this for the extras.Pros:-Tight build quality and looks-Very well sized-Lock integration is easy to use and not accidentally loosen in a pocket-Integrated loop at top feels like it will never have issuesNot really any cons but a design tweak that would make it a little more useful is to change from the needle tip and add a small bump to the inside tip to make for a larger gripping surfaceI primarily use this for metal or carbon splinters in automotive work and im sure i will find many more uses for it.

To tweeze or not to tweeze
I love it simply for just the cool factor. As far as practical, for what Iâve used it for, it hasn’t necessarily been the best. Primarily it has been used for attempting to pull out slivers. In a pinch though, it takes up little room and comes in handy when your options are constrained. It is definitely built to last, and the set screw to hold it in place works well.

Those who pay for the best get the best.
Had a bloody microscopic splinter in my finger for 4 days. Regular (borrowed) tweezers failed. I got home and was able to get a knife blade under it, but my needlenose pliers and toenail clippers (I know, I got desperate) both failed. I don’t dig out splinters with my knife entirely, just because I don’t… want to cut myself open? Anyways.I had these CIVIVI tweezers in my cart for several weeks since realizing I didn’t have a pair of tweezers in my first aid kit, or even in my household. Only thing that made me hesitate was the price. Of course it did. $30 is a lot for a pair of tweezers!Yesterday, after more failed attempts to extract the splinter, I decided I’d had enough, and I dropped the coin on these, next-day delivery. I received it, unboxed it, and literally under sixty seconds after sitting down with them, the splinter was removed. So let’s talk about these tweezers, and about the company behind them. The name CIVIVI caught my attention because I’m familiar with their brand. They make knives, and DAMN classy ones at that, for medium-range prices of $80-130. I own one of their knives and it lives up to its price tag being well-engineered, sturdy, but also having a unique sort of elegance to its design that, as a megapoor who can’t afford a $200 knife, I really appreciate. It makes me feel like I have a premium knife without having to pay a premium cost. These tweezers share such design. Their feature of retracting into a metal case works wonderfully. The round screw tightens reliably in the deployed or sheathed positions (or anywhere in between, if you fancy) with finger-tightness. This retractable design also allows the tips of the tweezers to be VERY pointy, which is an absolute boon when dealing with splinters thinner than a human hair. It also means that, if necessary, they can dig into the skin to remove deeply embedded splinters. Mine was embedded BARELY deeply enough to be below flush with my skin. The points are like the tips of two scalpels coming together with perfect precision. Precision that is necessarily held to a high standard, which a renowned knifemaker like CIVIVI would be very used to. The tweezers were smaller than I expected, but that certainly lent to their abilities. This thing is a precision instrument, there’s no doubt about it.Also, the finish on it is stunning. It really makes no sense to care about the aesthetics of a pair of tweezers, even less so for CIVIVI to put effort into it when designing them, but they are gorgeous in person. Evident of the pride that CIVIVI takes in the elegance of its products. If it isn’t beautiful, it isn’t CIVIVI.The leather sheath is real leather, and is mildly challenging to get the tweezers into for the first time, but I imagine it’ll get easier over time. The tweezers don’t fit entirely within the sheath, but I can’t imagine that to be a huge issue for most people. The sheath is helpful for me because it means I can drop these things in my first aid kit and not worry about them scarring up any of the other softer (sometimes paper) materials that they’ll be adjacent to.
Fake Products! Stay away. Sold a counterfeit Mont Blanc. –
Way cool expendable tweezers.
For commercial applications when needing to do jobs that require a more hearty tool instead of a bathroom tweezers, the tweezer would come in not for all applications, but for a more hearty application, I would recommend.Probably not for plucking eyebrows or removing splinters, but other technical jobs.Super innovative product. Guaranteed quality.

Find point tweezers
These are extremely nice, extra fine point, tweezers. I have not had a chance to use them but expect them to work well.
