Just as good as the expensive product
This product is almost exactly like the one made by a company that starts with “Clin” and rhymes with “eek”. Just like the expensive product it doesn’t have a lot of fillers. It is in a liquid base that is easy to spread over the skin and doesn’t leave a heavy or oily residue, so you can wear it over moisturizer or rosacea medication, and/or under makeup, which is why I love it. It a fraction of the price of the other product, only $11 for 1.7oz vs $37 for 1oz, and it is more water resistant and stays on better. But there are a few things I want to share so that people have realistic expectations.This type of product is a physical sun block, which means it works by spreading a thin layer of a mineral such as Zinc Oxide or Titanium Dioxide over the skin which shields the skin from the sun’s harmful radiation. This particular product contains Zinc Oxide, which is a white powder that is often used in diaper rash cream as a skin protectant. You can even ingest it as a Zinc supplement. So there is a lot of evidence supporting the safety of Zinc Oxide.This is not the case for chemical sunscreens that contain Oxybenzone, Octinoxate, Avobenzone, and the like. There is growing evidence that chemicals like these are harmful to people and the environment, specifically coral reefs. Some of these chemicals are even banned in Europe and Australia. Because of these concerns many people are moving away from chemical sunscreens and are switching to Zinc Oxide. But there is a downside to Zinc Oxide.ALL sunscreens based on Zinc Oxide and/or Titanium Dioxide cause a white cast to the skin to some extent, that is how they work. You can minimize this by spreading the product in a very thin layer, which is easier to do with this product because of the thin consistency. But the white cast is still there no matter what. If the white cast bothers you, keep in mind that it means your skin is protected. You can add tint/pigment drops to the product to cover the whitish cast, or you can put makeup, tinted moisturizer or face powder over it to disguise it, but you can’t avoid the whitish cast without using chemicals that are harmful to the environment and probably people too. Keep that in mind if you decide to try this product.

Pleasantly surprised
I usually use alot of “medical grade” skincare and sunscreens, but my dermatologist gave me this recently and told me it’s great. I agree, it’s a very nice sunscreen and it’s very affordable!It has a slight white cast but just make sure to really rub it in and also wait for it to set, about 5 mins. Once you put makeup on, it doesn’t show the white cast and is a great primer for makeup. My foundation doesn’t pull and it makes my face look good! This sunscreen isn’t greasy like a lot of mineral sunscreens (even my expensive ones are like oil in a bottle) but this one has a nice natural finish. Also, it’s water resistant which is great for days when I’m by the pool and want to swim. I can’t say enough good things about this sunscreen.

I had been using another product that was almost $80 (!) and must say, I like this Cetaphil sunscreen even better! One of the first ingredients is bisabolol, derived from German chamomile, and it works soooo well with my dry, sensitive skin. The white-cast is there, but I find if I apply a balm or heavy moisturizer in the morning before applying the white blends out a bit better. I LOVE THIS PRODUCT!

Doesnât leave a white cast, isnât greasy, and doesnât smell like sunscreen
Where has this sunscreen been all my life?? Iâm an extremely pale person(one of the lightest foundation shades) and as a kid I was slathered and sprayed with sunscreen against my will CONSTANTLY(for very good reason) and it was tortuous! I didnât wear it for awhile until better mineral facial sunscreens came out but I also have very sensitive skin. This goes on well underneath makeup(light and heavy), the texture is perfect, and it smells nothing like the sunscreen horrors of my childhood

Comfortable and sheer
I have been having really bad eczema flare ups. Red, stingy, itch, fuss filled hives. The other day, I put on Dr Dennis Gross All-Physical Ultimate Defense Sunscreen and make prem UV defence me No sebum suncream, and immediately my face was stingy and burning. I washed my face and restarted. Today, I put this Cetaphil Sheer 100% mineral liquid sunscreen. I was afraid my skin would react badly, but all day, it is soft, moisturized, and comfortable. It is not stingy at all! It is a little greasy looking, but not oily. It leaves NO white cast. I am super happy with this product! I have tried many products for sensitive skin, but this one really works. Highly recommend it.

Loving this sunscreen!
I prefer using mineral sunscreen; this goes on smoothly with no peeling. I have yet to test with makeup. I donât notice a cast once itâs been absorbed into the skin.

Good ingredients but leaves white cast
I love the ingredients in this and the sun protection! But I am SUPER white and this even leaves a white cast on me. I only use on beach days. It it definitely not inclusive. I donât really recommend, I wonât buy again once I run out.

Es mi segundo bote pedido, es el mejor protector solar mineral que he probado. No es graso, es fluido y no comedogénico. Hay que agitarlo muy bien, no deja blanco pero sà te aclara un tono después de la segunda re-aplicación, siento que no se me ve mucho porque soy apiñonada en pieles pálidas no creo que se note pero en pieles más morenas es algo que deben considerar. Yo soy piel normal sensible con rosácea y me ha costado encontrar protectores solares que no me irriten, me quedaré con este sin duda un buen tiempo, espero que lo sigan vendiendo. ð
