(This is the wife on the account). After trying 3 shampoos and conditioners that were $40+ per product, I decided to give these a shot. The only reason I give it 4 instead of 5 stars is the scent. It smells like cake. I prefer floral/botanical scents. I have naturally thick, unevenly wavy hair thatâs frizz prone. A lot of products dry my hair out and make it poofy in a bad way. This shampoo conditioner combo makes my hair silky, soft, tame and frizz free. At an unbeatable price. I havenât tried the leave in conditioner. I have one Iâm partial to, so I stick with that. I always air dry my hair, no styling. With these products, Iâm always pleased with how it looks and feels when itâs dry. I highly recommend giving it a try.

I bought this a couple of weeks ago and waited to review to see if I still love this product.I have fine, dry, wavy to curly hair – chin length. Daily wash due to serious bed head. For years, I used Redken Curvaceous Curl cream. Unfortunately, they quit making it. The search was on. Everything I’ve tried, (the list is long), left my hair feeling waxy and heavy. I bought all three items because of the great deal they are having.Smells like lemon baked goods. Very subtle scent. I like it.Shampoo: light moisturizing, rinses clean. LikeConditioner: definitely moisturizing. My hair feels silky right out of the shower. I no longer have to use my spray leave in conditioner. I don’t lose hair due to snarls.Curl cream: the angels are singing. LOVE this stuff. Had to play with how much to use. The first time I used a good quarter size amount and it was too much. Had a little stiffness. Second try, used more like a nickel size amount and it’s perfect. Soft curls, no crunchy wet look and my hair looks and feels silky all day without feeling or looking weighted down. For 16 bucks, it’s worth trying. It’s my new go to hair regimen.

Makes my hair Frizzy!
I love the look and smell of this product. I wanted it to work for my hair so bad, but for some reason it makes my hair more frizzy. I even bought the leave in conditioner and the curl mousse. It just does not work for my hair. I have very very very thick coarse curly hair. The product feels great and when my hair is wet it looks good, but by the time it dries I am a huge frizzy mess.

Soft, Bouncy, Touchable Curls
I have naturally wavy/beachy curls, but struggle to get definition without frizz and crunch. Typically without crunchy, stiff products, my curls loose their luster. I just used this Cake Curl Set (Curl Girl Shampoo, The Curl Next Door Conditioner, and The Curl Friend Curl Cream) for the first time last night and am already obsessed!! Super hydrating & thick shampoo and conditioner. I donât typically use curl creams because they are too heavy and make my hair feel nasty the next day, but not this one. It is perfect! worst smelling product
I purchased this product line hoping after reading most of the reviews it would be great. I got the package and it had leaked all over everything in the box. I thought it smelled a little on the weird and herbal side. Used it and felt it had great slip, and seemed like it did a good job of keeping the frizz down and defining the curls, but… that smell was a bit more beyond herbal and I felt it was just not worth it to move forward. All three products had the herbal bad garden smell. I thought maybe with my sensitive nose my daughter would like it. She told me she had tried it, and it is supposed to smell like frosting. Ok if that is true that is some really off frosting and I suggest you run far far away. She also said she had her products go smelly as well, and it was like a rotten weed smell. I let the stuff sit at the edge of the tub for a week and told myself maybe I am just too sensitive, picked up took a smell and for sure it was much much worse. I will not purchase this product again. I would not suggest it to anyone, if it is unstable enough to go bad like that it is a sign it is not good for anyone. I was really hoping it would be good, but no.

The smell of both the shampoo and conditioner is divine. I cut about 6 inches off of my hair and it brought out my curls. I was completely cloudless as to how to handle this change. Iâd been using other products and then I found this and it has been the best thing for my hair. I love the curl cream and how it refreshes my curls without having to wash my hair. Iâm a lifetime user now. 10/10 would recommend!

Best curl cream I’ve found for my hair. For reference my hair is pretty damaged (it gets dyed often), it’s fine but there’s lots of it. Naturally it either curls into ringlets, wildly frizzes, falls into loose waves or hangs somewhat straight. Unfortunately, it usually does all of that at once unless I’ve wrangled into some semblance of order with hair products.Curl Friend actually can make even my wild hair look pretty great! With this, I get nice curls that hold pretty well, even without gel or mouse as long as it’s not going to get windblown, rained on or touched a lot. Plus it keeps it soft, shiny, frizz free and it’s vegan!My Method:In the shower I rinse the conditioner out with my head flipped upside down, then scrunch out most of the water (head still upside down), then scrunch in some of this cream and plop my hair into a microfibre hair turban towel.I leave it in the towel for a few minutes to remove excess moisture then gently remove the towel (head upside down again), then flip my head up and gently (GENTLY!) arrange any curls that are out of place (falling into my eyes or sticking straight up or out for example). Sometimes I’ll add a tiny bit more curl cream if there are still frizzy bits sticking out or if the ends feel dry, then let it air dry without touching it further.I know that sounds like most of the product ends up on the towel, and I’m sure some does, but this is the best method I’ve found to wrangle these unruly curls into order.Honestly, this stuff is my holy grail of hair products! It’s vegan, my hair seems to love this stuff and it smells heavenly!
