I had almost quit writing reviews. There are so many out now that include videos and even better language than mine probably. Anyway, this Braun series 9 Pro shaver is the absolute best electric I have ever used. This is a shave that is as close to a blade as any electric can ever deliver. I have used Norelco, Remington, and several that were not as well known. This Braun series 9 Pro is better than any electric I have ever tried.I no longer have any razor bumps, no pulled hairs, no skin irritation at all. It’s easy to clean and I sure like the Braun cleaning system. It cleans with an antiseptic and it lubricates the shaver as well. This shaver is easy to use and it has a pivoting head that will reach difficult places and can be locked if you prefer.The only thing I don’t really like about this unit is the High Price. However, with our inflation and our economy the way it is, I suppose everything has a higher price than I would want. There is one other thing I would mention. The instruction manuals are just a bunch of pictures that aren’t real clear, but with a bit of brain work they can be figured out. If you can afford to shell out the dollars for a Braun series 9 Pro. and you feel you deserve the absolute best shave that is possible with an electric razor, Then this razor is for you. From my opinnion this is the best of the best. Highly Recommend !I had to come back and add this on….. The trimmer seems a bit unhandy and sort of hard to see around. I think I will be able to get used to this in time. I hope so. Another thought I have is when the battery goes bad, how hard will it be to get replaced, and how Expensive and when it reaches the End Of Service can it be re-built, and how Expensive will it be. These are just some after thoughts. If any Braun service people read this, I hope they will address these items. It is now 6/25/23 and this razor is still shaving as good as it did when it was new. I have been using this razor daily for 5 months. If you can shell out the money I can assure you that you have just purchased the best electric razor on the planet. This electric shaves as smooth and close as any blade thing available, 1 blade, 2 blades, 3 blades or even 5, I was totally blown away by this razor. I have a heavy beard and this product cuts it Perfectly! Buy it, you won’t be sorry.

Exceedingly better than other razors I own.
Due to sensitive skin, I haven’t used a disposable razor for decades. For most of that time, any inexpensive electric razor worked adequately, but as my beard turned grey I had more and more issues shaving these thicker bristly white hairs. Over the last decade or so I’ve pretty much given up on shaving at all (except for using hair clippers to keep it short) despite buying multiple razors and hoping for a good shave. For the longest time, I used a Panasonic ES8103 that left me with a shave that wasn’t so good even after passing over the same area 10-20 times. I then tried a Norelco OneBlade which actually worked ok but was comparatively messy and the blades only worked well for a short time and then required more passes to get a progressively poorer shave. And finally, the biggest waste of money was the Norelco Series 5000 which refused to shave my beard from day one. Even after a continuous 15 minutes of running it over my face still felt rough and numerous stubborn hairs remained here and there. On top of that, it was very difficult to reassemble after taking it apart to clean.I finally decided to buy the best-rated razor on the market which was the Braun Series 9. I did not have any great expectations but was pleasantly surprised. Even with fairly long stubble as my clippers don’t cut very close the razer gave me a close shave after just one or two passes over any one area. The final result left my face smooth to the touch; a much closer shave than I’ve ever gotten from an electric razor. This razor is absurdly expensive, but if you can’t get a good shave from a cheaper model certainly give it a try. As far as the cleaner that comes with this model, it does appear to work as intended, although I will have to use it longer before I can decide if it is just a gimmick or not. If you travel a lot the case that contains an external battery should be great but I probably will use it only rarely.My only complaint is that the instructions are completely useless. There are pages of pictograms that I couldn’t make any sense of. I had to go only to find a review that covered the same information using words.Edit added after 2 months of use: I don’t really have much to say about the performance of the razor as it continues to shave remarkably well. My only developing concerns are in regard to cleaning. The head contains some intricate parts many of which cannot be reached with the small brush provided and I don’t think it was designed to be disassembled. This makes getting the version with the cleaning station almost obligatory. While it works pretty well this bulky device isn’t perfect. Not only is some manual cleaning required it becomes necessary to clean the cleaning device as well. So far everything remains clean enough using the cleaner with some manual cleaning but if you have OCD it will probably drive you nuts that it is difficult if not impossible to get everything inside the razor perfectly clean.

The series 9 is the best product of this sort on the market imo. Does a great job and leaves face super smooth

I have sensitive skin, it’s always been my biggest deterrent for shaving. Problem is I like to be clean shaven.I’ve tried just about every form out there.Spent years and $$$$ to find the right tools for the job. I’ve had multiple electric shavers, in the past, each no better than the last. All falling well short of their claims. Same with all the different cartridge razors. No good. All leave irritation and razor burn, in varying degrees.Broke down, gave in to the voices, tried one last time.Why did I wait so long!?!?!?Almost no irritation while using. Incredibly easy to use, powerful sonic shave head, super comfortable and left very little razor burn. I’m very impressed!Braun brought the joy back into shaving for me, thanks!
