Great but not reef safe
Recently, Hawaii expanded the ban to include avobenzone and octocrylene.These chemicals are pollutants and can damage marine ecosystems, so this sunscreen is not reef safe.But if you aren’t using this sunscreen in a marine environment, it is a great sunscreen. It’s my favorite body sunscreen because it soaks in and is not greasy.

Non-Irritating and Non-Greasy
I’ve never been able to use a chemical sunscreen because they always irritated by eyes, even those for sensitive skin. And the chemical types have always been greasy feeling or heavy. I tried this and couldn’t believe, first how quickly it goes to a powdery-feeling finish. And second, that it doesn’t bother my eyes at all. The only thing it lacks is tint, but it’s great for a day-to-day sunscreen. I’ll still stick to my zinc or titanium oxide tinted sunscreen as a substitute for foundation. If you use foundation, this is great to put on first.

Not greasy, but makes me sweat 😅
OK, so hear me out. I’ve been on a JOURNEY to find a sunscreen that I am willing to wear daily and feel comfortable in. I have tried so many. While I like Asian sunscreens the most for how comfortable they are to wear, they are expensive and hard to find in the US so I have been looking for an alternative.I absolutely hate to feel greasy. This sunscreen does not leave me feeling greasy and does not feel heavy on my skin. It absorbs quickly, and while there is a slight, initial sting on my skin it doesn’t burn my eyes like other sunscreens. There is no white cast. It doesn’t transfer onto clothing. The scent is very light and I don’t notice it once it’s dried.At first I thought this was the Holy Grail of a affordable, US made sunscreen, but then I learned there was a catch. I find that my face sweats much more when I wear this. I have never been an upper lip sweater, but when I get hot and have this sunscreen on, I need to dab my upper lip and forehead frequently.I will still use this, especially when the weather is cooler, but have I come to the end of my quest for the perfect sunscreen? Unfortunately, no.

Best sunscreen, non greasy, matte finish
I have tried many many sunscreens and this is the best one. Has a light feel, blends in easily and finishes matte. Perfect for oily brown skin, like mine. Doesn’t burn my eyes also! Kids can use. I can use it. Will buy again

As a pale Irish skinned family the factor 50 was a staple growing up. It’s usually like applying a thick layer of bitumen to your face that, try as you may, never rubs in. This stuff is great to apply, beautiful scent and easily absorbed into the skin without leaving white streaks or oily residue. Most importantly though it just works. Didn’t burn whilst using it despite being in 32° heat of Indian ocean.
