How Did We Get Our Start?
Back in the mid-1990s, our founder Bill Whyte worked as a carpenter. He worked hard, and so did his hands. They would often split and crack in the frigid New England winters. One night, seeking a soothing solution, he mixed up some beeswax and olive oil to create a simple herbal balm. It helped his hands so much, he decided to share it with everyone he knew – and the rest, as they say, is Badger history.

I surf often and this is one of the only sunscreens I’ve found that doesn’t sting my eyes. I buy multiple bottles at a time and use it on my face. Very grateful for this product, thank you Badger!

Great sunblock
This sunblock has a thick sticky consistency that does not come off easily while sweating and that is reassuring regarding the duration and level of protection during the day out in the hot sun. Very pleased with this sunblock.

This is very effective to use and doesnât have chemicals in it which cause an allergic reaction on my sensitive skin. However, it is very thick – the only downside. Recommend by my Dermatologist.

It’s greasy, as all natural sunscreens unfortunately seem to be, but the ingredients are very simple and natural. The only reason I rate 4 not 5 stars is the use of a processed seed oil (sunflower) base instead of coconut, shae, or something similar.
