Smells like Liz Claiborne
Great perfume company. This one is strong perfume that smells like Liz Claiborne perfume. It’s a bit too strong for me because I use the purfume as a deodorant.

Smells good
No doubt it smells decent but I wish it lasted longer and had a stronger scent. It lasts about a few hours on my skin but maybe the humidity plays a factor. Overall a nice roll on perfume product that Iâll be using for a while

Complex and Sultry
When I first encountered the name ‘Rose on Fire ‘, I was torn between two expectations. On one hand, the allure of a classic rose scent was undeniable. On the other, I didn’t want to smell like a grandmother. However, these concerns were irrelevant. While present, the floral aspect of this perfume is so delicately woven into the complexity of the scent that it defies easy identification as rose. What comes forward in this perfume is the turmeric and the pepper. It has a seductive spiciness that calls to mind hot nights in foreign lands. It smells like body heat mixed with spicy food and fragrant flowers that only grow in warm climates. This is less of a bouquet of roses and more of a sexy lover leading you by the hand down cobble-stoned market streets. This scent is unisex because it’s more spicy and musky than floral. What lingers after the spices dissipate is a clean muskiness that works for everybody. I should also note that it doesn’t smell like chemicals, even when first applied. This is my first Anthology perfume, so I looked up the company. They are based in New Jersey, and their products are made in the US.

Not quite as expected
I had high hopes for the Rose on Fire Roll-On Perfume, but it didnât fully meet my expectations. The scent feels more suited for older ladies and lacks the fresh, youthful vibe I was hoping for. The fragrance is quite thick, and while the blend of rose varieties with spice is unique, it can come off as overpowering. The perfume notes, with hints of Sichuan pepper and turmeric, combined with Bulgarian and Turkish Rose, sound exotic, but the overall scent doesn’t feel as fresh or modern as I anticipated. Additionally, the oil itself is quite thick, which can be a bit much for a roll-on.On the plus side, the bottle is sleek and convenient for travel, and the roll-on feature ensures mess-free application. However, the scent doesn’t linger in a refreshing way; it feels heavy and somewhat dated. Overall, it’s a luxurious product, but the fragrance profile just wasn’t for me.

A trip down memory lane
Okay – first of all, this perfume was packaged perfectly. It was tightly wrapped and sealed in a bubble wrap sleeve, so nothing broke or leaked. I very much appreciate the care that was put into making sure this arrived in one piece. As for the size, I think this is pretty good for something advertised as travel size. Personally I think this is a little bit *big* if youâre someone like me who doesnât carry a purse with a lot of space in it, but it would be really unfair to complain about receiving too much of this product. The application of this product was very nice too – a little bit goes a long way though, it came out quicker than I thought it would, so just a few rolls and you should be good. Now, as for the scent⦠I titled this review âa trip down memory laneâ, because the smell of this perfume instantly reminded me of one very specific memory from my childhood. It reminded me of staying at my grandmothers house during the summer, and going to pick the partially sun dried seed bulbs of the many roses she grew around her house. We took them, spread them out on a baking sheet, and dried them until her kitchen and house smelled like roses. She gave me a little sachet of them to take home and put in a dresser drawer, and to this day I still have the little sachet that she put those roses in for me.I guess this was a long winded way for me to say that this perfume smells like my grandma. And I know that âgrandma perfumeâ is a derogatory term for bad perfume, but I would not call this bad perfume by any means. It smells exactly like dried roses, which just so happens to be a scent that reminds me of my grandma.I will say that itâs probably the reason why I will never use this perfume though. Nothing against the product, Iâm not deducting points for my personal preference of not wanting to smell like my grandma. However, I am knocking one star off of this review because of the ingredients. This product says itâs alcohol free, yet the ingredients show that there is benzyl alcohol in it. It could be a very minute amount, and I would say based off of the longevity of this perfume that it is primarily oil based, but as this perfume labels itself as having no alcohol I think it could be very harmful for someone who cannot use products with any amount of alcohol in it.
