Sheer and light weight
I love these products. This is sheer and lightweight. Itâs moisturizing. Doesnât have a strong odor. Smells kind of citrusy to me. Goes on easy and leaves no residue on the skin. Skin absorption is good. It drys clear. Not sticky. Nice application. These products are made in America.

This review is long overdue–Iâve been an Andalou Naturals user for over ten years. Theyâve seen me from my mid-thirties when I had an oily t-zone (Citrus Kombucha cleansing gel, lemon sugar scrub, oil-free moisturizer). To my late-thirties when I moved to Colorado (high-elevation, unrelenting sun, dry) when I mixed in the Ultra Sheer daily defense day lotion and Reservatrol Q10 night repair cream. To my early forties when my skin was dulled by age and dry air when I added Turmeric + C Enlightening serum and Purple Carrot + C Luminous night cream. To now, in my mid-forties when I noticed subtle fine lines appearing around my mouth and neck, which switching over to the Apricot Probiotic cleansing milk + Fruit Stem Cell Revitalizing serum + Reservatrol Q10 night repair cream has NOTICEABLY taken care of.I canât recommend this skin care line highly enough. It has seen me through oily skin, sun damage, low humidity, and fine wrinkles with ease. Itâs so easy to mix and match depending on what my skin needs. And honestly, it looks better today at forty-six (glowing and dewy) than when I was twenty-six and was using much more expensive products. And they all smell so good!

Best mineral SPF Iâve ever used
I prefer mineral SPFs because theyâre cleaner and not as toxic for me (chemical sunscreens have been shown in scientific studies to be absorbed into the bloodstream) and to the environment, donât leave me greasy, and donât clog my pores.This is not like other mineral sunscreens. It is truly a use-everyday SKINCARE product that just happens to have SPF. It doesnât leave a white cast, blends in like a dream, and feels super sheer and lightweight. It also doesnât have a gross sunscreen smell. It has a really nice faint smell of citrus.I also love that it also protects against blue light and pollution. Both of which have been shown in scientific studies to age the skin. So it helps me wear it every day because I know that even if Iâm not getting a lot of sun one day, Iâm still protected against other things.

Light moisturizer-goes on great, has SPF, pleasant smell
Love that this SPF moisturizer goes on easily without any weird streaks or white marks like many other natural sunscreens. I am sensitive to smells, however this light scent is pleasant and seems to vanish after applying. My skin is also sensitive and I have had zero problems with this product. Perfect for everyday use.

I absolutely love the Andalou ultra sheer daily defense! I have pale, sensitive skin so I am VERY particular as to what I use on my face. It absorbs well, isn’t too thick or too thin, while still moisturizing well. Bonus points that it has the SPF 18 added in. It also has a very light scent, almost fruity (not chemically or a sickly sweet scent). It doesn’t make me break out. I use it twice a day, in morning and evening after washing my face. I have tried many, many products over the years and this one stands out. Also it it affordable, which is also very important. I used to be able to find it in the grocery stores and I can’t anymore, but thankfully can still find it here on Amazon. I have used it for years and will continue to use it for the foreseeable future.

THIS is my sunscreen. FINALLY!! It was quite a search….I’m so glad it’s over.
I didn’t start wearing sunscreen until last year. I’m 49. Yeah, that was a bit of a problem, but better late than never. So going into it, I just figured I would pick one up at the drug store and it would be fine. No big deal. Wrong. HUGE deal. I had no idea about white casts, or how drying they could be, and then dealing with wrinkles and sun damage, and wearing makeup over it. OMG, I wanted to scream after the 10th tube of failed sunscreen. Little did I know there would SO MANY MORE failed tubes in my future.This was a desperation buy. I had typed “moisturizing facial sunscreen” into the search bar on here and was just reading description after description. I literally said to myself when ordering it, “Good Lord, just try it. What’s one more and this one is only $7.” I also ordered 2 other brands at the same time. A really spendy one and a drugstore brand. Those have gone into the fail drawer. I’m now set for sunscreen until the year 2025, I’m sure…..for the rest of my body anyway. This one I’ve put on my Amazon subscription list cause I don’t want to ever run out.It is SOOO freakin’ moisturizing. It feels like it’s just part of my morning skin care. I absolutely love the scent. It’s a fresh citrus scent that isn’t overly heavy and it’s isn’t noticeable for long, but holy heck I love it! It also doesn’t irritate my eyes, which is huge bonus and that was something I just thought every sunscreen did and I was just going to have to learn to live with it. No white cast. NOT drying. I seriously haven’t found one thing I don’t like about this sunscreen. Apparently when I first bought it, it was during a price drop or something, because it’s now almost $12 a tube, but even at that it’s a damn bargain. I’d pay way more for this little sucker and not even think twice. I’ve since checked out their other products because all the bonus “skin love”(peptides, anti-oxidants, plant stem cells, and OMG…..RESVERITROL, people!!!!) that came along in this sunscreen made me curious about their other products. Those are definitely worth checking out if you find you enjoy this one.

I was only previously able to get this in the US. I was very glad to see it also available on Amazon UK. It’s a wonderfully emollient cream without being greasy and is an economical size. The ingredients are ethical and make a difference to my ashy/dehydrated skin.Andalou uses good quality ingredients and my skin has never reacted to any of their products, (I have sensitive skin) a definite plus.
