Covers gray hair completely
Recently colored my hair with All About Curls Permanent Hair Color Dye | 100% Gray Coverage | Vibrant Color & Shine | All Curly Hair Types. The shade was Very Plum. I wanted purple hair. I would consider this color to be plum. The description of the color seems accurate to me. I’ve included photos. My hair was colored with a honey blonde previously and you can see the before photo. I followed the instructions with the packaging. I needed 2 boxes for my thick, long hair. I applied the pre serum which is supposed to protect my hair from damage and ensure even color coverage. I am wondering if that worked because the end result was not even coverage. If you look closely at the “after” photos you will see areas where color was applied but not evenly resulting in a few patches of brownish hue. I purchased the developing cream separately and used the after color conditioner provided from previous in the box I used last month to color my hair honey blonde. You have to buy separately the developer and the after color conditioner. The advertisement is upfront about that detail. Dark colors will stain the skin so I applied hair conditioner around the hairline generously and it all wiped clean after coloring. It was a little more complicated than most boxed at home coloring kits primarily because I had to assemble so many items separately including the application tools. Honestly, I liked my coloring tool kit with brushes and bowls better than the squirt bottles provided in coloring kits. I think the roots were better covered using the brush and you can see that there was complete coverage of the gray hair. Mostly I love the loud shade of color. In the sunlight it sparkles like a metallic tinsel. I think I will try again to see if I can get a more even distribution next time. It’s hard to color long thick hair but I am pleased with the results. This color is a bit dark for my skin tone so not sure I will remain committed to this color but may try a few other colors eventually. I really appreciate that there was minimal odor but maybe that is because I was using a developer cream and not bleach. I was already pre bleached. I think it is important to have a pre bleaching to allow the color to be more vibrant. I would recommend. The price was affordable and fairly competitive pricing.

Long lasting
The deep plum is really pretty and really lasts a long time. I’ve been coloring my hair for 25 years and this might last the longest. It’s pretty deep red; almost purple

Color is way off
Not purple at all. I normally use a 2v from a different brand, but have used 3v, 2v, and 1v in other brands when needed in the past. They have always been a shade of violet. This is magenta!! This is more of a 4rv. Very disappointing and irritating to my scalp. The rest of my hair is 2v and now my roots are hot pink. I have been coloring my own hair for 15 years and this is the most inaccurate color and caused abnormal burning. Terrible

Awesome grey coverage
I love the color pigment, 100% grey coverage, awesome hair color but I was disappointed when I opened the box and find out that it come without the developer, no gloves 😕, no application bottle, it is not ready to use. Please be sure to have developer before you buy this. The smell is a bit strong.
