Best product ever used
Iâve been using this product for over 2 months and before i was using pomade. I have insanely straight hair and have been desperate for that wavy messy look. I tried many methods and products but they either didnât work or damaged my hair. Then i tried clay after seeing a bunch of videos on it and i could tell you itâs a great replacement for pomade if you have straight hair. Its only hard to use once you first use it but after a while its easy. It could honestly go for any look youâre going for, nice and neat or wavy and messy. It could also last the whole day without going flat at all. Mandatory for straight hair, best purchase I have made for my hair!

Love it
Does exactly what it’s supposed to do. Yes it’s difficult to scoop but that’s the point. Keeps hair unflappable. I use it in my trouble spots only and another product for the rest. Washes out nice.

Good for thick hair
I have really thick hair and have struggled to find a good product that lasts throughout the day. This stuff has been the best thing Iâve found so far for keeping my hair intact throughout the day. Like some of the other reviews, this clay is rather hard but I just run it under my hair dryer for a few seconds and it softens it up pretty well.

Terrific
Definitely not the smoothest product to apply and scoop out of its container but remember, itâs extra hold texture clay. When applied to my hair, I was amazed on how it was just the perfect amount by using so little. Little definitely comes a long way! Product does not feel heavy or greasy when applied to my hair and most importantly, it held up pretty well all day.

This is made to build homes, not build hair
This thing comes hard as a rock. You cannot, even with your fingernails scoop paste. I had to use the plastic cover it came with. This is WAY too HARD!! Styling your hair is fun and joyful – this product took that joy away. I can’t for the life of me ever understand why anyone would or could ever use this product. Going back to my old paste!

Wayyyy to hard
Iâve bought probably 20 different clays, fibers, waxes, pomades, you name it. This one is by far the least user friendly and hardest feeling clay on the market. If you like the feeling of sand under your nails, itâs a similar feeling every morning scooping this clay, you have to dig your nails in for it to come out. Wouldnât buy it again for that reason alone. My wife says it smells like baby powder but the product does work good. I get the vibe that they tried to copy something similar to Baxter of CA Clay and/or Hanz de Fuko Clay. Very similar just the clay is rock solid and annoying to use.

great, but people dont know how to style it right.
Its a great product, people just don’t know how to style it well. Get hair soaking wet then scrunch hair with towel til damp. After use some kind of sea salt spray everywhere in ur hair. Now most people say its too hard well then just blow dry the clay to make it softer. blow dry hair until almost dry then add the clay. than u have ur hair.

Awesome
I just bought 10 more of these in case the formula changes in the future. If any of the Forte workers are reading, PLEASE DON’T CHANGE ANYTHING WITH THE FORMULA!!! I will buy this for life and recommend to others if nothing changes! Great product- I was looking for something to replace Kevin Murphy Night Rider because Kevin Murphy had changed their product so that hold was lacking and it was no longer really matte. This product is great- holds all day, makes my fine hair look more full, truly matte finish. I am an east Asian guy so my hair is straight FYI. Yes it’s a tiny bit stiff and difficult to remove from the container but I think it’s just how things go if you want to have a product that really keeps your hair in place all day without falling. I’m buying the product for the hold and look, not for a very tiny inconvenience of pressing a little harder to get it out of the container. Doesn’t really smell like anything to me. Hold is stronger than Hanz de Fuko Claymation, this is more matte, and it doesn’t make your hair clump up as much. Doesn’t really look like you have any product in your hair either, if you use the right amount. Claymation isn’t bad but this is better. AS LONG AS IT DOESN’T CHANGE! Oh god I’m so sick of companies changing their hair products and then I need to search for new ones hahah.

Iâve been looking EVERYWHERE for a product like this. FINALLY after 5 YEARS i come across this!!Pros: easy to wash out, non greasy, great hold for normal activities, reduces frizz, Matt not shiny, easy to apply, great design that holds the product, will last you literally for months, smells similar coconut butter, just better. OVERALL GREAT!!Cons: NONE!!

The product is hard to remove with my fingers. It is a stronger hold than my previous craft clay hair clay but makes my hair less light.

If you have thick hair, this is likely your to-go product. I have tried many hair clays in the past and before this one I was using Hanz de Fuko’s Claymation. For my type of hair (very thick, a bit wavy), there is no clay that offers the same hold as this Forte Series one. I live in London and during winter at times the wind is very strong, but my hair does not move at all. In contrast, with Claymation, strong winds almost always ruined the shape. Same applies to humidity, it holds way better under light rain than others (although I have always had an umbrella when facing heavy rain, as you should with any clay or hair product). In terms of texture, I would say Forte’s is also superior. Just do not use too much, otherwise your hair might get a bit spiky (natural con of having a stronger hold and being a heavier product). Regarding appearance of the product, it pretty much looks like Claymation, but heavier. Make sure you warm it up between your hands enough before applying. It is also slightly scented (Claymation is not), but the soft smell is pleasant, I would say.The product is pretty easy to use and it is “almost” water soluble. I have shower again before bed to remove it. If I try to remove it just with water, it mostly gets cleaned out, but I can still notice the original shape from when I applied the product as I blow-dry my hair. To remove it completely, I add a tiny bit of conditioner and it does the trick. Many reviews say this clay is not easy to use and I was concerned about it before buying. However, I can now say that find those reviews inaccurate. It gets removed easily as you wash your hands, what makes me think that either those people have (too) long nails or they are doing something very wrong. It is in fact a bit harder to get the product out of the package compared to others, but it is also not as hard as people sound here. If this is your concern, give it a try. And you think it is too hard, blow-dry the product a bit beforehand as it smooths it considerably (the producer suggests that as an easy option).

Really does hold flyaways for at least an entire day. On the other hand itâs very hard to remove from your hands, itâs essentially pure wax. Itâs also very costly for what it is.

Gives me good texture. Iâve only had it in for 3 1/2 hours though and my hair is still kind of wet. I could use a hairdryer though and then put it in after my hair is kind of short, but Iâll update this if I donât like it.
