Very effective for my symptoms
These drops work especially well to eliminate the itching I experience and the irritation for several hours. There is an almost menthol sensation that becomes immediately soothing when they are first applied. I have very good results using a drop in each eye right before bed. My eyes are not itchy when I wake up. I also appreciate that these have no taste. Some medicinal types of eye drops leave a bad taste in the throat, but not these. The bottle lasts a long time, the cost is reasonable, and they address my symptoms very well. I highly recommend!

I used Visine AC for years. I recently noticed they changed something, causing my eyes to burn.A friend recommended Alaway and Iâm glad she did!! These drops have are great! No burning and instant relief from itchy, irritated eyes.Iâm giving 4 stars because I think the amount is kinda small for the price but it wonât deter me from purchasing.

The only eyedrops that work
I suffer from seasonal eye allergies, particular with tree pollen in the Pacific Northwest. After suffering from itchy eyes and trying everything imaginable (stopped using makeup, upped my eye protection from the sun, treated my house for mold, tried oral antihistamines), I caved and went to my eye doctor. I know, it sounds overzealous. But let me tell you….what he told me changed the name of the game. My doctor attributed the itchiness and swelling to allergies. He said that most over the counter eye drops for itchy eyes (i.e. Visine) use ingredients that end up further irritating the eyes. My doctor also said that several years ago, a formerly prescription-only formula was allowed to be manufactured for over the counter use. The active ingredient in this is ketotifen. The doctor wrote this down and recommended I go to my local drug store to purchase an eye drop with ketotifen. There are a couple of big-name brands that use this antihistamine, but Alaway has consistently been the least expensive and effective option. These eye drops provide INSTANT relief for my itchy eyes. My doctor also told me that sometimes when the eyes are really irritated, the eye drop may sting initially, but this is really just affirmation that the Alaway eye drop is needed. Refrigerating the eye drops can help cut down on this sting (if it bothers you. It is really very slight) and the cool temperature can also feel soothing. I always store mine in the fridge. I will be buying Alaway eyedrops until the day I die!
